Sorry for being so sceptic, but it sounds amazing.
Didnt think that amiga would recognice the CF card that is formatet in the amiga.
And what about the workbench disk, do i have to get one for the installation.

You dont format the CF card if using it via PCMCIA. Keep it with the fat filesystem so both the Amiga and PC can read it.

Some clever bloke wrote those free tools (CFD and FAT95) which do all the hard work.

The EasyADF PCMCIA CF Transfer Kit uses these free tools at it's heart (bundled together with lots of nice GUI stuff & extras to make life easier).

If you could have tried to transfer them using a 720Kbyte PC formatted floppy disk over to your Amiga for installation then it would have worked.

You seem to be very new to this. Cost for you shouldn't be an issue over easy of use. Just buy the kit from Amigakit and a USB CF card reader and get going! (If your laptop has a PCMCIA slot then you don't even need the USB card reader!)

@prowler: Most of them need to be Master. Could that've been your problem ?

Hi Konrad,

I've not had the problem myself, but I have seen it reported by other EAB members on a few occasions.

The first advice given is generally to swap the Master and Slave configurations of the devices on the IDE channel. When that hasn't worked, the next suggestion is to use a 4-way buffered IDE interface and connect the CF-IDE adapter to the secondary IDE channel.

I can't recall the issue ever having been fixed by swapping the Master and Slave configuration of the HDD and CF-IDE adapter. Often the simplest solution is just to buy a different adapter.

It seems that some adapters behave just like 2-card devices with one card missing.

Heather from Amibay manage to make two CF works in cooperation by simply mounting the second unit using a mountlist.

She used a dual CF adaptor in a back slot cover.

Here's a fix to get paradise working on WindowsXP, no idea whether it's Windows7 compatible. Just make sure you have UserPort running and the latest Paradise version from the author's website.

You kind of jumped the gun with EasyADF package as you really just need three files to get a compact flash adapter working.

compactflash.device copied to DEVS:
fat95 to L:
CF0 and Cf0.info to DEVS:Dosdrivers/

all free and available on aminet.net

I'm sure it's (EasyADF I mean) a nice piece of software but if just you could get those three files over to the amiga (using a floppy disk like alexh suggested) you'd have it up and running.

Problem 2: Configure winuae in windows 7

Problem 3: Can Winuae read files from both pc hd(fat/ntfs) and amiga hd(amiga formatet).

To connect your Amiga's 44-pin IDE hard drive to your PC's 40-pin IDE cable, you will need a 2½-inch to 3½-inch drive adapter, which has a 44-pin connector for your Amiga's drive, a 40-pin connector for you PC's IDE cable and a 4-pin power connector to supply power to the Amiga's hard drive.

Yes. You can mount PC formatted and Amiga formatted drives in the GUI before starting the emulation.

Sounds great! I will test this out as soon as i get a hold of the rigth cabels.

Another problem i see that can arise, is that when i disconnect my amiga drive and put it back on, sometimes my amiga dont boot from it. Then i just have 2 try many times and suddenly it boots from it.
Seems random but i dont know, any ide what it can be?

Sounds like a bad contact on the Amiga IDE cable. Replace it.

I have got my AmigaKit today, and it works!

But not great, it works fine in the Amiga, but in all of my 3 pc the card hangs after short time. I can copy/delete 2-3 files and then it stops.
Rigth now i am trying to copy a file of 764kb to it and the progressbar just stayes still;-(
And this has happend in all my 3 diffrent pcs now.

Why doesnt PC2Amiga work in XP/Vista/7? Anyone know?

I mean whats the point of a parallel port on your PC these days if NOT to connect to an Amiga?
