What? The file is perfectly okay in the zip. The problem is extracting it to a filesystem that doesn't allow trailing spaces.

If you do that you set a global Quitkey. All games quit with the configured key then. If you want a local Quitkey for specific games then edit the game icon tooltypes.

It could be interesting to quickly reup the modified preinstalled
since this is not a bug from the slave per se.

I tried to PM Magix a while ago for the preinstalled data disk of CSB was in German, got no replies.

And thanks Kitty, this was one of the issues I noticed myself but didn't post about yet .
The games on whdownload.com are all installed by me.

The Batman install is 100% fine.

Glad to know it, KG. And I can confirm, the trailing _ are set.

At least, could it be possible to use .lha for the preinstalled games with such filenames ? The fact that Windows handles the opening of Zip files natively gives us wits to unzip them without further notice.

Aquanaut preinstalled

Aquanaut - F1 Licenceware preinstalled has the exact same problem.

Unzipping the game from Windows side would lead to the slave not being able to find its associated resources.

Here is what I propose to better identify games with problematic file names :
  • .zip for games that can be unzipped from Windows side
  • .lha for those which can be unzipped from Amiga side with any unpacking tool (unArc...)
  • .lzx for those which can only be unzipped (unlxz'd ) from the command line

I can do some repacking if needed.

Fool prove method : Always unzip them on an Amiga (real or emulated).

Lha are good for ANY archives. The only thing you must respect is to decrunch under windows with winrar for games with no filename incompatibilities, and decrunch with lha UNDER winuae with special cases like batman the movie, aquanaut.

Why linking the archive type with the games ? It's illogical

You must have the decruncher needed : Lha for lha archives, unzip for winzip archives, unrar for winrar archives, or unlzx for LZX archives.
