So, whatever happenedto this? i'm starting to get a bunch of these and I'm getting fed up. ctually not on WHDLoad, but my system gurus on this error, leaving my apps fucked and the system unstable.
I htink it has something to do with MCP but I can't confirm it. |

I would say that you have two intermittent problems here. First, it sounds like something is getting hot, and, it also sounds like you jave a memory problem. See, if the overheating problem only manifests itself when the chip RAM is being used a lot, it would appear that the crashes are more random than they really are. You would only need a 30 second or so power-down to clear memory, but maybe 10 minutes or so to let something cool down.
Easy way to test: GEt some freezer spray from Maplin, spray the chip RAM and then boot the Mig. Give a squirt of spray every few minutes and see if you get a crash then. IF so, try spraying a different area - I'm sure you'll find the problem eventually. You then just replace the faulty component with a new one (hope it's not anything expensive). I have some spare chip RAM chips from an A500 if you need them...... |

This problem mysteriously fixed iself a few days after my last post. I did absolutely nothing to fix it. I didn't use my Amiga any less and I've had no problems for a month. Until the next time....
I don't think it has anything to do with MCP because I don't use MCP. Last edited by mr_a500; 03 March 2005 at 04:00. |

In my case, whenever I remove MCP, the problem goes away/

This worked like a charm under 3.1, but when I switched to 3.9 it caused problems. Even with copy/delete commands I got the line 1111 emulator errors. As soon as I removed the kickstart remapping command from my startup-sequence I got no more errors like these. My system is pretty stable now. |

Mozzer, helpful advice. However, I have 3.0 and I don't use the ROM remapping.
I still get errors from time to time, mid game, I wonder if I have corrupted files that are causing them. Why does WHDLoad not check CRC on image loading? That would help a lot to discover faulty/corrupt archives. |

Do you use the latest WHDLoad 17.1 beta? It fixes freezes problems with some games. Had similar problems with other games. Now WHDLoad is really stable.

Thank you for that. I am using a stable version, not a beta. I will try the beta!
[edit]: v17 beta got rid of the freezes! Thanks ![]() Last edited by Amiga1992; 01 February 2012 at 04:16. |

Try "NoCache" and see if that helps.

Nope, they still appear. And if I add the option to the whdload.prefs file it comes up with an error that it can't parse the config file.
I was just playing UGH, and I got an exception "Address Error" B000.... And now a freeze in Mr. Nutz... What the fuck is going on with my Amiga...?;_; Last edited by Amiga1992; 01 February 2012 at 21:05. |

Maybe there is something (e.g. special character) with your whdload.prefs file. Take the original file and change to your needs just to be save.

Hmm I did that, no change. The errors still come up in various games.
This makes things unplayable :/ I tried loading a WB with no addons, same problems. I also unplugged the sampler just to be safe. My RAM is good, I tested it. I think this might still be regarding the wrong MaxTransfer value I first had, or related issue. I set up the CF with WinUAE and it shows up in HDInstTools as UAE-ide and MULTICARD READER or some such thing. When I can afford to redo it, I will try to do so in teh Amiga. My main problem is that my floppy disk is pretty much fucked, so it's hard to boot and prepare the CF with it. |

Try renaming WHDLoad.prefs temporarily. Also use HDToolBox instead HDInstTools for any changes to your CF-card.

I used both. At thisd point I will leave this as it is and try again after Datastorm, I can't spend countless nights awake with this while I have to do my entries for teh democompo.
I think it does have to do with how I used WinUAE to set up the card. The weird thing is, only WHDLoad complains about this, no other software does. |

Alright, I tried running the games off my SD card in the PCMCIA reader.
Turrican 3, for example, still hangs at the same point. At the intro, when it says "eons have passed...", it busts out with Line 1111 Error. If I press the button fast enough and skip the intro, it seems to work fine, as far as I tested. With this, I have to discard any problem related to corruption on my CF IDE drive. What could it be? [edit] after a little while of playing it on the first level, I got an Exception Address Error ($B00C) at $6320 :/ Last edited by Amiga1992; 04 February 2012 at 21:31. |
