I probably won't bother with 3.1 roms now as the system seems to work fine with 3.0. Thus saving £20!

I need to claw some cash back by selling on a few things:

- Commodore CDTV Unit + Remote
- Commodore CDTV Unit + CDTV Black Keyboard + Remote
- CDTV Remote
- 3 x CDTV Mice
- 3 sets of 3.0 Roms
- 30cm hard drive cable
- Short hard drvie cable
- A faulty A1200 keyboard but with very white keys (that litre of peroxide goes a long way!)
- CDTV "Brickette" joystick adapter
- Amiga 500 unit with Box (no PSU)

You won't regret it at all ; well perhaps you will think in wasting more, now in an Indi...

EDIT: Put a price for each of them in Amibay or here in Marketplace.

I'm so pleased my old accelerator went to a good home and I love this thread. Trigger's broom indeed. Hilarious. If you happened to have a 3.1 ROM file I believe you can use acatune to load it into memory but I don't fully understand it.

Some pictures of hardware updates...

1. CF Slot at Rear

2. Trapdoor Mod due to Protruding CPU

3. Trapdoor Mod Close Up

Tried the A1200 on the main telly. (filthy due to kids prodding the screen earlier today)

I hooked the A1200 up to the main 36" TV (Toshiba Regza) with my Amiga RGB to Scart cable. I normally use a small 14" CRT, which gives a nice picture. I find that the picture on the LCD TV is too sharp and pixelated.

Here are some screenshots of various screen modes and then some WB and game screen shots:

Normal hi-res. A bit "too" sharp on this LCD. Nicer on my small CRT.

Hi-res interlaced. Looks good.

Super hi-res. Fonts getting worse.

Super hi-res interlaced. Fonts look horrid.

Close-up WB:

Very close-up:

Gods:

Stunt car racer:

Skidmarks AGA:

Frontier:

also... WHDload is utterly fantastic.

Great updates. Now you begin to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labours I hope. Also, time to introduce the kids to the Amiga if you haven't already. My 4yr old son loves watching (and helping) me play Gunship 2000 and Gloom.

This afternoon we (me, 1.5yr old and 3yr old) played a round of Robocod, Hunter and Skidmarks.

Brilliant m8

This kinda thing inspires me to crack on and revamp stuff. I regged WHDLoad years ago but I just havent had alot of time to complete things so I dont use it much as I would like to.

But im at it again now, slowly sorting my storage and pulling everything retro together. I have found 7 A1200's

All in various states Its time to get them sorted meethinks.

The volume refers to how much oxygen is produced when the hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water and oxygen. So for example 60 ml of oxygen gas from 1 ml of hydrogen peroxide in your example.

Thank you very much!

Hmmm, a further question...:
I understand that a bigger % of peroxide (for example 18% versus 10%) can be better for whitening purposes.
Is it the same with Volume (the bigger the number, the better)?

Well, yes, if the volume figure is higher, then the percentage figure is higher too. However, you don't really need all that much to successfully reverse the yellowing in my experience. 5-10% or even less is more than enough.

What's important is that you get a good even gel made, add a bit of Oxyclean (or similar) as a catalyst, and have plenty of sunlight on the parts. If the reaction is too fast, you can easily over-whiten especially the grey A1000/A500/A2000/A3000 parts (A600/A1200/A4000 seem safer since they are supposed to be much whiter anyway) and then there's not much you can do anymore.

It's better to have the reaction happen slower and more controlled in my experience. You still get excellent results in a few hours, should have plenty of sunshine in Italy too

I agree that you can over-do the whitening. I over-did some of the dark keys on my A500. The A1200 was fine though.

Without any sun, in the winter, I agree that leaving it on for a week or two, outside but protected from the rain, but not covered from what ever sunshine we may get.

Next on the list for me is to connect my A1200 to my projector.

100" Stunt Car Racer!

I plugged my A1200 into my projector. Connected via composite not RGB/VGA, but the picture was ok. In Workbench I turned on an interlaced screenmode and it was quite stable.

Here are some pics. My hand is in some pics, to give an idea of scale

An interesting novelty!
