You can use the free and open source AmigaXfer (full disclosure: Author). Link in my signature.

Apologies - I was sure it was ADF-Blitzer I used.

I've also used EasyADF in the past but that can't write to RAD: either.

So I'm now not sure what program I used to write to RAD: but I know I've done it with WB in the past.

Cheers for that. Unfortunately I only have Windows 2000, so it won't work on my machine.

Problem remains that I can't open the 'Serial' program in order to configure the serial port

I'll see if I can re-install WB and see what happens then.

That looks a good bit of kit; would certainly make it a lot easier getting stuff over to the Amiga in disk form...

I have an old Windows 2000 laptop (Sony Vaio) and a much newer MacBook. Do these Greaseweazle units connect to IDE lead of a floppy with the other end being USB into your machine?

If so, I'll go an grab an external USB drive from somewhere.

AmigaXfer doesn't use serial.device. It uses the kickstart rom debugger, which has its own implementation of basic serial i/o at 9600. This debugger can be triggered by e.g. selecting debug/romwack/sad in the debug menu added by starting workbench with "loadwb -debug". README has more methods.

After injecting code, AmigaXfer takes over, with its own serial i/o routines, which run at the speed selected in AmigaXfer GUI.

It has to be a Floppy Cable with a twist on pins 10-16. - From here: https://www.retroez.com/store/Grease...ter-p381405857

Other end is USB.

Ahh I know them, I think I have one in a box of spare bits -- I remember the twisted part of the cable towards the connector. If not I'll grab one alongside the Greaseweazle unit. It seems this works with MacOS too which makes life easier.

Thanks again I'll post here letting you know how I get on.

All I remember from my original A600 bought new back in the day was a folder called 'Utilities'. I was only young so had no idea what I was doing, but I remember each of the programs in there opening their own GUI. I was hoping I'd be able to open 'Serial' and configure the port.

I'm coming back to this system after being away from it for over 25 years and I only really mucked about gaming and doing bitmap art work on it back then. I'm very rusty knowledge-wise so all of this feels new. Think I need to find some reading on it!

I've just been archiving some discs with EasyADF and there is an option to write an ADF image to RAD:
