Chambers of Shaolin. Just the most atmospheric beat em up ever. Fighting Spirit is my second best...

Fightin' Spirit CD/CD32 version for mine.......looked, felt, sounded and played like a great arcade machine/console beat-em up at the time of release in '96. Unfortunately for Light Shock Software it sold poorly coz the Amiga market was in serious decline at that stage!
Honourable mentions go to Shadow Fighter, IK+ and Mortal Kombat 2. Most overrated and easy peasy beat-em up award must go to Street Fighter 2! Last edited by DrBong; 19 December 2002 at 18:50. |

![]() Not that bad of a thing, since it showed the Amiga can pull a NeoGeo to a certain degree, but they should have been a bit more original, IMO! |

The Amiga/CD32 needed more console rip-offs, but 2-3 years earlier. Might have slowed the hordes defecting to PC to play Doom.
Anyway, originality or not, the execution was superb and Fightin' Spirit pisses all over the other Amiga beat-em ups IMO! ![]() |

Yup, Galahad pointed us to such a thing some time back.
Mr.Nutz was as close as Sonic as an Amiga game ever got. If you changed the squirrel with the hedgehog, it could have passed as a sonic sequel ![]() |

Another one for the list-Golden Axe!
Okay, whilst I would probably vote for IK+, Golden Axe would surely have to rate higher than Dangerous Streets! Even Amiga Final Fight would rate better than D. Streets & R.O.T.R.! |

I think we are talking 1-on-1 beat'em ups Zark, otherwise, we would have to add Double Dragon, Motorhead, etc.. (progressive beat'em ups)

Okay, Now I realise that Steve started out at the top referring One on One beat'emups, but I've always thought of Beat 'em up's as one category.
But, I guess the same logic can be assigned to shoot'emups too, & I'm too tired to debate it! |

One on One? I suppose IK+ doesn't count then.
