Regarding to your last statement, first - backbone is a crap and should disappear from the the surface of this planet. Second - yes i do enjoy simple games like river raid but would never pay 32E for them. Would you? |

i did pay for the first game, mainly to support developer, hoping he would reach
for at least amos for his next game. also to find out myself how game made in backbone looks and plays like. i did not pay 32e for the sequel but would pay even more for game like solid gold though. |

In my youth new games were near-on 2-days wages - seriously, I earned crap money, so every game was as much an investment as a sodding gamble! Nowadays, I'm a little more affluent, so I can gamble 32e in the hope that we're getting some good stuff for our favourite platform. |

Agree. Just welcome fresh gaming blood on the Amiga. Nobody is obliged to buy it. Salute those who are willing to invest time & money on this platform in 2016...

Rip off... Kidding. it looks like a nice game. I didn't buy the first game because I knew its not the type of game I'd play. However hats off to anyone willing to make new amiga games. Here's hoping solid gold will be good when my copy arrives.

choice of engine should be no issue if a game is good. Enough people love new creative content for their miggies and Gorluth II provides just that. Good work Viddi!

+1 for last 4 posts!
My copy arrived yesterday, and even my wife and her parents were happy for me. I've been going on about it for ages, and they were also impressed with my name being in the CD sleeve Only downside is that I'm going to have to play it under emulation, as I've had to give up my home office to make a nursery for our new arrival.... Still, at least I can play it wherever I've got my laptop! |

Well, after an hour of playing, it's getting really quite enjoyable. A bit slow to start with, but a lot of adventure/Zelda-style games do this while they set the scene. But after 10-15 mins you're away.
I'm in the chambers under the graveyard at the moment. This is classic dungeon hunting stuff The doors are all over the place. I've had to map it out on paper to find my way around! Er.. Anyone know if there's a save option? Can't see any info about it.... Last edited by LuMan; 22 September 2016 at 12:37. |
