Great conversion, nice work, thanks a ton! I used to love playing this in the arcade in the 1980s. It would be awesome if Sinistar or Gyruss was done next.

Looks pretty good The YT compression isn't great though. Maybe upload the next one in 720p?

Yes, turn-based like the arcade. BTW I forgot to map the key to start a 2 player mode in Xevious too, so I'll publish a new version with that soon.

I love Gyruss but I'm not going to do it. Too ambitious. You may get Pengo & Donkey Kong instead

First, the stars use multiplexed sprites and are buggy, then since my lagarith codec has wrong colors (it used to work, I don't know why it does that), I'm using other lousy codecs and use to post crappy vids...

Firstly, thank you for bringing these classics to Amiga, long long overdue these kinds of ports and love them all! If you make Galaxian Turbo an option it would be very sweet

For YT vids I rip from WinUAE using the techsmith codec, seems solid to me but everyone's mileage varies with software tech!

I would not use dual playfield but rather 4 planes and Sprites for player ship and all bullets. Perhaps I could patch it all into Tiny Galaga

For Galaga, that makes a lot of BOBs to draw. A lot of BOBs, even small, isn't optimal for Amiga.

Galaga = Xevious hardware, quite powerful.

Galaxian: older hardware, much less objects moving on screen.

I don't know if 1;1 Galaga would run properly on A500. I may be not skilled enough in amiga hardware coding, specially blitter stuff. After all I started coding games less than 2 years ago. Let's see your attempts

You are right. Galaga has really a lot of Bobs to draw, but its possible as Galaga needs no restore blits. A good approach for such single screen games are copper blits (my attempt was Tiny Bubble ).
