We don't have you listed as a coder for Suburban Commando. Time for an update?

No relation at all, I wasn't aware of that game. Our game was originally called 'Dark Haven', I'm pretty sure that Grandslam wanted the name change.

I asked because the game is listed as not Amiga original. Was it planned or developed for another platform as well?

Yes it was being trail developed for the PC, one milestone behind the lead Amiga version.

Jimmy2x2x, I am listening to the music in The Legacy, there is a chiptune playing as a background music during the "explanation sequence" (how to use switches etc.). Do you remember where it comes from? Or anyone else could recognise it? It plays here in loop for about 2O mins now

BTW, talking about Electronic Zoo: TCD, there is no Battle Squadron listed among their releases ih HOL (apologise for slightly offtopic)

Really sorry I have no idea!

EDIT: Ah yes of course, Electronic Zoo - not Electric Zoo!

Just had a Hexedit into the disks and found the final 2 passwords:

BCRICH
HOHNER

These will take you into the castle, there isn't a lot there - the floating fish is a place holder for a minecart that was going to run on the tracks on the lower level - Surprised I remembered that after 20 years!

If you want a laugh, read disk 2 into a hex editor and read the ASCII of the first few pages hahaha guess that didn't work!

I should have the loader ready tomorrow. The game itself is currently running from the hard drive.

To Do:

add Intro with option to skip
add a trainer to test the entire game
add the 68000 quit option.
add blitter patches

Anyone feel like creating an icon?

Edit: It appears that the game has some trainer keys:
E - Tops of Energy
W - 99 of each weapon

Edit: Press S to toggle all switches on for the level

Great news Abaddon!

Edit: Trainer keys!, you forget a lot of things after 20 years...

Edit2: Could I be so bold as to ask for a feature request?

CUSTOM1=1 to enable 2nd fire button (gamepad) for jump (current up on joystick)
CUSTOM2=1 to enable 3rd fire button (gamepad) switch weapon types (current space bar)

Edit3: If you can give the specifications of the required icon image, I will try to get the games artist to create an icon
(width, depth, # colours, palette restrictions, fixed palette, file format)
Unless you already have one

By default (no tooltype required) I mapped the 2nd fire to the spacebar as this allows to play with a 2 button joystick with little or no keyboard.

As for the 3rd fire button, I have never used it in any install, because I thought it required hardware modification to the controller, but I could be wrong. I can/will add CD32 joypad support, which I could map jump, weapon select, cheat keys, pause, etc.

I was hoping to have the install complete, but I didn't get time to work on it tonight. I think all that I have left to do is add the intro and cd32 joypad support.

Hopefully I will have a beta release tomorrow.

I won't have time to finish the install till the weekend. I can upload a beta to the zone if anyone would like to test it out.

Still have to add intro, cd32 support and trainer.

I do have one question.....Should I included the cracktro? On one hand I say no, but on the other we probably wouldn't have seen the game released.
