i'm just having a mean idea.
many of you use premade packages as ClassicWB and Amgasys and others. you may have experienced the fatigue of reinstall much software and operate finetuning or customizing for to make a personalized setup of the WB any time a new release gets out. i know i do! ( and i cannot thank enough the good explainations by Paul in the gaqs/guides )

but what if the main programs one may want install, like music onea, graphic ones (PPaint, Brilliance, Deluxe Paint etc.) or the Office like programs, such the spreadsheets one that Anubis requested elsewhere would be in WHDload instals? one could forget any installation problem, dependencies and moreover he could move them easiy from one release to the next of his own favourite Base Package!
what do you guys think ?

installing amiga software is not like Windows soft.... you can easily install all amiga software by hand, copy stuff in libs/fonts/etc... so it's easy to add them in the whdload kick3.1 stuff. As mentionned, just copy additional stuff in data dir.
Or simply copy the lha package in the data dir and then follow the install script.... i may have misunderstood something from Marco thread.

no indeed it is different from windows, somehow better somehow worse. the point of having the software running in a virtual environment as WHDload are:
1) you don't have to touch your startup-sequence and so, other than save the time of tinker it, you avoid any inconsistency/incompatibility of commands;
2) you don't touch the dependencies, devs, libs, etc and so you avoid the versions problems of the different libraries for instance when software requires a different lib based on the processor it is running on, that in winuae may differ based on the will of the moment.
3) you have always a vanilla OS, you may also update it faster in case of relatively frequently updated ones such Amikit, AmigaSys, Aiab, ClassicWB, AmigaOS etc.
4) in winuae, you can run the programs from a virtual hard disk other than your main one, maybe in a virtual directory so that if the whdload slave is the open kind (the one that allows uses it too a virtual directory as amiga disk), you can manage files inside it on the fly. for instance you are working on a picture with PPaint and still open it from Windows, no matter you are working with whdload.
this way, at least, it is less likely you'll break your HDF, thing that while more rare now than before to me happened a bunch of times already.

just to clarify: the whdload installer CAN be shared i guess Dopefish means that, what are NOT to be shared (and i was referring to that) are the actual Workbench disks images

And yes, it was these (legal) slaves I wanted, not the actual Workbench disks. I legally own those anyway.

Thanks for the upload, I've been looking for something like this for a while after failed attempts at assembling it from source.

Would it be possible to use Whdload to load Wb 1.3 on a CD32, along with Joymouse? The slave I grabbed seemed to require 0.5MB Chipmem and 1MB Othermem...

the wb13 slave should also run on CD³² without problems, the memory requirements can easily adpated be reassembling.
I dont know if joymouse is running under 1.3
