yes demon, that is the one! It even had a detailed bootblock analyser with explanations what it did too, now I remember! Very noisy with 4 floppy drives, as the drives in idle mode were clicking fast/agressively (just as the power led) like hungry animals awaiting to devour floppies!

Sorry about that, I just presumed it would be under 'R' for RattleCopy never thought about 'C' for Coma. Can't download that stuff anyway, I'm not broadband + I have a limit and the sizes are in excess of 200Mb

wasn't there also a copier with a tetris game builtin to kill the time during copying? I believe so, but not the foggiest idea what it was called, I know it was mid 90s...

Indeed, very likely to be Tetracopy.

Look at the date of the post (and compare to here). Sheer coincidence?

tetracopy was a good one, always had that as backup up xcopy was having difficulty After that it was time for Burst nibbler to have a go. If these 3 failed, the big guns came out with cyclone apwm mode.

X-Copy was good but I think Bust Nibbler was better -Now id vote PowerCopy

But to realy copy your mates retail games you needed a hardware copier my favorite was called mac II and this seemed to copy anything!

:Lockpick and Amiga Patch list were also very helpful - I wish the Patch list was updated!

I've zoned Rattlecopy Pro 4.0 (taken from the archive on Break's site).
A quick test says it's starting up on an A500 config, haven't tried copying anything, though.

I'd use XCopy too but either leave out or erase the long tracks and use cyclone for those

Either a 7 or in some cases a 2 if I remember correctly

In the dark days at the end of the 80s only having a plain A500 with one disk-drive : White Lightning (a screenshot is here http://www.g-schnabel.net/amiga/amigamemo/white_lightning.jpg)

Later on some version of X-Copy. Dont know which. At a certain point of time there were so many "patched" versions floating around.

I remember how we were all thrilled at the computerclub (where we met twice a week for mainly swapping) when we discovered that the 512K expansion allowed White Lightning to copy disks in 1 go instead of 2, made everyone buy that expansion overnight
