I can't believe you said that, Jim! I not only disagree, but since I never owned an Amiga but an Atari STE, that was the last gaame I ever purchased for the Atari St!

I still think CF1 is better. I didn't like CF2 at all. It was the same game but in a compltely stupid environment. I'm sorry - but these soldiers belonged on the battlefield and not fighting aliens in a strange spaceship.
I would rather they had just made a level add-on for CF1 set in the jungle again. Fred, remind me why what is better about CF2 - what makes you think CF2 is better ? Quote:

Jim, if you read my post, it implies I disagree with your assessment that CF 2 is crap to CF 1. Nowhere do I mention CF 2 is better or even equal to CF 1. CF 1 was better in my opinion, I just do not think CF 2 is "crap" compared to Cf 1.

I agree with Fred, CF2 isn't crap. For me it was as good as CF1, mainly because it costed THE SAME as CF1 for me (i.e. , nearly nothing ).
If I had payed 35 quids for it, I probably wouldn't like it, because it isn't much more than an add-on. CF2 also is much harder than the already very hard CF1 . |

Oh true, Shatty. I remember getting much farther in CF 1 than CF 2. As far as I am concerned, CF 1 & 2 are light years ahead of the games that they have out today, like Close Combat. I do like Sudden Strike very much, tho. Those are awesome games. Can't wait for Sudden Strike 2.

Shadow Fighter. I think I only ever played it twice - IIRC it kept crashing my 1200.

I can't quite remember what I bought last but it was either Lemmings 2 or Wing Commander sometime in 1993 I think. It was starting to get hard to get Amiga games in Australia around this time. In Townsville anyway.

I bought yet another original copy of Kick Off 2 a month ago, and one of Highway Hawks two months ago. Not full price of course, I can't remember when that was!

Last one I bought was 'Total Football', I think it was around the £15 mark. Still have the box, manual and original disks

At full price: Slam Tilt.
But that was a while ago... I buy Amiga games all the time though, basically for CAPS. I am not far off 1000 originals (most with boxes and manuals) and some even factory "new". I have only just recently finished dumping them all Got to scan all the boxes, manuals, disks, protections cards etc. now... (sheesh!) |

If by "donating to HOL" you mean me uploading them somewhere for you, then yes, we are donating them to HOL! Please be aware though, that this stuff is going to be *BIG*. Everything will be scanned at 300dpi. Hopefully as time goes on, the space required to store them will be less of a problem... |
