I already did that with some games for CD32 adaptations:

- wonderdog
- premiere

basically block the game in "sfx" mode and add whatever CD track you want depending on the level.

Enabling sfx + chip music isn't always easy when the tune has 4 channels or the tracker replay doesn't collaborate with the sfx replay. saimon69 is right: we'd have to remove the music player & sfx engine and replace by phx excellent ptreplay for instance. Not trivial! and the music would have to be .mod, not something else.

A very bad example of broken sfx+music game is Risky Woods. Sfx completely destroy the music when played (plus dma write timings are off and nearly impossible to fix)
