it seems there are a lot of "favourite games topics", but here we go for a totally subjective list :
Stunt Car Racer : Highly addictive, and jamais egalé Kick Off 2 : after touch, extra time, 2 players offf course Wings : i wanted to shoot down all the Fokkers, just me solo, and have an insane amount of kills ![]() Speedball 2 : just to lose your last friends that have resisted to a kick off 2 battle Pinball Dreams North & South : Fun maximum with 2 players Great Courts 2 Lotus Turbo Challenge II Panza Kick Boxing Le Manoir De Mortvielle and i stop to 10 |

I had a lot of favorites. I guess I could take a stab at a few of my most memorable games.
Questron Solo Flight Harley Davidson Ozwald (my kid played this for a year straight) Roadwar 2000 Falcon 4.0 Gunship Bards Tale (all three) Firepower Stellar Conflict (This and Firepower I guess were the two multiplayer games I spent the most time with) ![]() Many more, but these came to mind off the top of my head. I spent a lot of time with these. |

Someone else mentioned Beyond Dark Castle. I couldn't agree more, awesome game. I need to get my copy preserved by the SPS asap though. Not sure if they have it.

What were your favorite Amiga games ?
My favorit games were:
1) Captive : Loved that game, played it till the 11th or 12th space station, when "another" door code bug stopped my play ![]() I remember when my brother or a friend sometimes was watching me play it, and then: "ARG!! RUN ! a multicolor !" (i called these air-wolfs with a flame-thrower like that), or "A FACE-LESS !!!, I RUN !!" or same with the blue balls. In the space stations it was a bit like a survival horror, i ran affraid of these BIG demon alliens .. had lot of fun with that game ![]() 2) Black Crypt: Nice RPG in the dungeon master style, using the halfbrite 64 color mode perfectly. I always liked dungeon games where you get deeper and deeper inside, and this one was really great ![]() 2.5) Oh the heck ! how could i forget the Champions of Krynn series ? loved these too ![]() 3) Bloodwych: another RPG in the 3D isometric style (dungeon master style). Graphics were rather poor, but like i said, i liked these dungeon games, and Bloodwych was HUDGE!! Also we could play it at 2 players (even if we only rarely did with my brother), was great fun. There are of course a lot more games i liked, and not only RPGs, games like Shadow of the beast, Jim Power, Twin-worlds, carrier-command, Populous, powermonger, and a lot more i forget now ![]() Last edited by Lord Riton; 21 January 2011 at 19:32. Some games i remember playing a lot:
Black Crypt One of the best RPG on the amiga for me, nice 64 color halfbright graphics, well animated spells, monsters.. Chaos Strikes back finished it, liked it ! Captive probably the Amiga game i played mostly, i want "Captive" on my xbox 360! Hired Guns Great RPG in the captive style where you could play 4 robots having each his own 3D view. I prefferer Captive tough. Bloodwych Also a nice RPG Laby style where you could fast get lost, lots of keys, levers, traps and of course mobs to fight. Eye Of The Beholder (finished it several times ) Shadow of the beast I-III liked them all, but a little bit more the first one. Populous I-II (played a lot of maps on both) Champions of Krynn/Death knight of Krynn / Dark queen of Krynn Liked them a lot for their strategic combat system. Lotus Turbo Esprit challenge played that game a LOT with friends, was great fun then. I played always the car on botom of the screen using the mouse. top screen car was driven by the joystick. Carrier Command unfortunatly my version had a bug, i don't know why, but the game bugged each time affter arround an hour or so of play. Legends of Valour One of the rare 3D RPGs on the amiga, but in fact was far from really beeing a Real and great RPG for me, unfortunatly. But it was in 3D ! Ishar Nice RPG, but a little bugged, lost some saves because of that. Dungeons of Moria Old MUD rogue-like dungeon crawler game, with ASCII chars as graphics, played that one also quit a lot. Angband Moria style game. Jim Power ! great game, wunderfull music, great graphics and animation (why did i forget this one ?) Will Edit and add more games if i remember them ![]() Last edited by Lord Riton; 22 January 2011 at 23:46. |
