yay another 040 PPC user in the world
though I seriously suggest u play with WinUAE and Picasso as once you get it sorted it`s simple to back up to real hardware, well it is if you got the right connections |

I just hope it works!
Picasso arrived today, so I downloaded the install disk/s from Installers Heaven. Installed & no new screenmodes available. Also I get "Can't open vilintuisup.library" on start-up...even though it IS there. Whaaaaah! PZ. |

@Fingerz
I am not mistaken you need an 020 or better to install Picasso Drivers and P96 - if you did this via WinUAE then its most-likely possible that some things just wont work untill the PPS040 is in there =) what OS are you using btw? |

The machine already has an A2630 fitted, so the minimum '020 CPU requirement issue should in fact be a non-issue...I guess? As for OS, it is running 3.1 with Classic Workbench Lite additions. *EDIT* - Nah, I did nothing within UAE, all done on the actual machine itself. PZ. |

Agreed your whaaaaaah - you tried the original software which is dead old. If you have a better processor (OK, you have), get Picasso96. But you have to clean the rests of Picasso software carefully - they can disturb P96.

Could you please advise on where to find the best/real Picasso96 disk? There are plenty scattered on the net, but which one to choose? *EDIT* - Downloading v2.0 (1999) from AmiNet now, which seems to be what is needed PZ. Last edited by Fingerlickin_B; 23 September 2010 at 15:51. |

Nope, tried it & no good, even more problems, even earlier in startup the before.
Can't remember what it said, will report more tomorrow....got work in a few hours...time for sleep! Anyway, I think it has something to do with all the stuff added by Classic WB, so I'll try with plain old 3.1 tomorrow night & see. Thanks all the same everyone PZ. |

I could never get classic workbench adv sp to work with rtg. Use the os3.9 pack or the p96 pack they both work.
