Yeah theres no reason why not res like 1280x768 should work but I'm just not able to get the Vertical sync to match on the JVC (It has to be exactly right to get an image) Only 640x480 and 800x600 are working on the JVC but I plan to try some higher resolutions out on my 22" Samsung Synchmaster.

On my system I use the VGA port of the monitor to play games and the DVI port for Workbench and applications.

It´s possible to play games on DVI output?

As I said before, I have a Radeon 9250 with VGA & DVI. Best, of course, is to use DVI quality...
I'm switching to Scart for my WHDload but Zetr0 mentioned a tool to view them in the VGA modes so I'll be looking out for that however with Scart I'm able to Zoom games in that don't fit the screen with the JVC's widescreen modes, so games that had black borders top and bottom can be viewed in Widescreen without any stretch

There is a tool that promotes native modes to RTG but you will run into nothing but problems using it with hardware-banging software such as WHDLoad games/demos.

Thanks

I'm quite happy switching to Scart, only have to press the AV button twice lol and I get the display as it should be.

Also being CWB I can hold right Mouse button on Boot and get the games menu if I just want a quick WHDLoad session

Not to mention the undercover Desktop A1200 you may have spotted on the shelf below, she's fully 1230'd up and ready to go

Is there a graphics card that you can put inside the A1200 case without towerising it .

I would like to run 3.9 one day .

Graphics card is not needed for 3.9. The only card which fits in A1200 case is BVision PPC, which also requires Blizzard PPC accelerator.

I think I'm correct in saying somthing like BlizzardVision will fit in the Desktop Case or you can get HighGFX (up to 1024x768) with an Indivision AGA.

OS3.9 will run at Native screens as well but its much nicer 800x600

You could run it with just an 8mb upgrade but would be very slow, suggest a 68030+

I honestly don't recommend installing 3.9 on anything less than an 060. I wasn't happy with its performance on my 040/25.

Really? The stock OS3.9 was really fast on my 040 @25mhz, but the CWB pack is a bit slow.

It was certainly usable, but it was considerably slower than 3.1 on the same machine.

I reckon 3.9 is about as fast as 3.1 on the 060.

I have a Typhoon MKII 1230 @33mhz so I guess that probably too slow

I think its more the colours on screen that show down the icon loading. I found the High Res Laced Mode on my Typhoon MK2 (40mhz) Fine for the likes of Classic Workbench ADV SP. Give that a try its got nice icon packs like OS3.9 but its built on WB3.1 so its pretty quick =)

Fitzsteve my friend... looking good!
If your LCD is 1366x768 try and go 1360x768 and check it out.
I used to have a Samsung 23" LCDTV and it was a PAIN in the A$$ to make it work with P96 with my former A1200 Mediator tower setup. I made lot of experimenting in P96 blind Edit mode playing with up/down/left/right arrow keys! I finally nailed it in the end and you can check out my old screenshots in 1360x768.

Make sure you play a little based on Monitor's Hsync/Vsync etc rates. I really hope you can make it work out mate. It really worth it in the end!

@fitzsteve
Perfect my friend! Can't wait to see the pr0n! I'm waiting any time soon my own HxC which will be inside the A630, but orientation of SD will be from the floppy slot (hiding most of slot though for means of dust).
I might also make a black 1200 that I have as spare (along with a CDTV keyboard), but we'll see
Damnit... Too many projects, so little time Although the worse part is waiting and waiting the damn posts...

@kriz
Thanks a lot mate. That was a really old setup that doesn't exist. Atm I'm using the following since it's custom made by a friend and it represents a bit of my setup and I really like it ...

Like fitzsteve, I change with the remote control od the LCD selecting DVI or VGA (I also use Indivision AGA) as desired.

My question (Play WHDLoad games on a Windows) is only to explore all possibilities.

Maybe this link help some users about resolutions, aspect ratio,....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_resolutions

to configure OS´s

Have a look at this post Kakaboy =)

Thats 128 Colour on an 040 @25mhz, if you run it at 64 colour (which is the standard setting) then it should be nearly as quick, at least it is on my Typhoon Mk2 on my Desktop A1200

Heres also the link to the CWB Site:
