Just goes to show just how on the money the designers behind Among Us were. Such a simple concept and it lends itself to just about anything you can think of. I mean Lemmings replaced with among us guys? Yeah it'll work. Worms? Yep. Including making huge bank with merchandising of course. That is the backup money maker. Don't only try to sell a game, try to sell dolls. Bonus points if you can make them collectable.
I think the person behind Poppy Play Time has the crown there though. Small children are into what is essentially a grotesque creature that is part of a pretty terrifying indie horror franchise. So what did he do for the 2nd chapter? Different colours! Because ho boy that'll sell. My hat off to that achievement. |

I grew up watching Black and White TV. Welcome to this new and colorful hell!
It's really not a big deal, but I personally would have liked to play such a game at the time...but it wasn't available and I wouldn't have been able to do it then. Without experience, the fun for me is figuring out how it works. So I make these mostly for my own fun, but I'm also curious to see what other people think. For me, it's better to make something than to play with it, or just brainstorm and talk about the possibilities in forums. Agreeing with Reynolds' writing... I used this engine for both Project Horizon and Quest, little by little cleverly modified to the needs of the given environment and what I can't use in one game (FOW) I can use it in another one. It's that so simple! ...just so that it doesn't sit on the bench. And who knows what will come of it? Since it's not a coincidence that nerds allways compare Doom engines to Doom, I tried to present this kind of game in a similar way to Among Us. But who would say no when offered a ton of money for this low performance? I certainly wouldn't be offended by it....I'm still waiting for the offer....and I'm waiting... I guess it's only annoying because it didn't happen to us... None Of Us! |

...and I think I also have to remove the music. But the program will play it if the music sample files are in place. |
