I thought title supposed to match number of letters for some reason:
Super Mario
Great Giana

I didn't say I didn't believe you. The game has one instance of "Gianna" and gazillions of "Giana", it's not only on the title pic, it's everywhere in the game on every port and sequel and whatever.
So the name of the game is Giana, doesn't matter what the original intention was. Making the scroller the "mistake".

BTW you can't hear shit behind the music on that video, shame.

Yeah, i know what you mean Akira, and you´re right, the audio in this Podcast/Lets Play is really all over the place; sadly.

(you need headphones and even then its hard to hear)

But still, the had to change it to Giana because of the mistake that the cover Artis made. The had Time to Change the Ingame Text but not the Time to Change the Title Screen.

After that, it became , GIANA SISTERS.
Interesting, isn´t it ? ( Man, i love this kind of stuff )

How many of you Guy´s did know this, actually ?

But, back on topic; i like the old Sprites more for the Original Game, but hey, thats maybe just me.
( I finished & really liked DS Giana on my Daughters DS )

The bee was the most frustrating enemy to do yet, given the relative size difference between the original and the bee in the DS sprite sheet and also the sprite size varies between frames (ranging from 21 pixels high right down to 13). And then afterwards I had to watch the animation in game to work out how to properly align the frames (so the bee wasn't vibrating up and down)

I can't wait for this.
Do you think changing stage tiles will ever be possible?

Thanks guys

@akira I'll give it a go!

@Skulleater A level editor might be tricky, especially since I don't understand how the level structure works yet! I'll at least release my graphics replacement kit though so everyone can do Giana reskins.

Now with grass for the first time (like the DS edition). The ground tiles have a different palette in different levels, eg in the title screen they're grey (but still have green grass). I might need to be careful about how the tile alterations could have flow on effects (eg they look fine in one section but have absurd colours in another)

Cheers guys

The number one (non graphical) request we've had is for new music. I wouldn't know where to begin so someone will need to help if that's going to happen, but I've made these assumptions

1. If we knew where the songs were stored in the disk image
2. If we had replacement songs of the
- Same or lesser length (bytes, not running length)
- Same format
- Uses the same track numbers
We could just paste them in.

Can anyone give a hand on this..?

That might be tough, i assume was done by Huelsbeck with a proprietary tool, else would have liked to remix main tune in the same style as latest Lukhash remix:
