Search results return only game names where, previously, returned also devs, publishers, and artists.

The technical Quickmatch items have been transferred into the new Features section which has four areas:

Coding
Enhanced Features
Enhanced Graphics
Enhanced Sound

I'll add them into the game search.

Question though : on mobile device the map takes the full screen size but I cannot see any close button to gain again access to the HOL screen.
Is there an obvious "tap on screen" gesture to close it I have missed ?

The screen-shot counter always shows a result of two images higher than the number of screen-shot displayed.

Example here : no screen-shot at all but the counter displays : 2

That's because the DBS (double screenshot at the top of the page) is now counted as two screenshots.

This is what I thought but I still think it's a bug as Screen-shots are visible in a separate screen/tab.
Old HOL allowed you to search for games without screen-shots. This was handy. If you do an advanced search for games without screen-shot, old HOL returns 2660 games. New HOL returns 374 which for me is incorrect.

The new search functionality is a pain TBH. E.g. when searching for "came desert" I get 0 results. I have to enter "came from the desert" to find the game. Really annoying because it results in unnecessary typing. Old search functionality was much better.

Something odd:

Same search parameters, different results (not talking of "different names, same game" aggregation):

https://amiga.abime.net/games/list/?...e-id=1&whd=yes

https://oldhol.abime.net/hol_search....im=1&B_whd=yes

For instance, Action Fighter appears only in the old page; could it be because it has listed 3 different years, one for the original and two for the budget releases, and the new search engine misinterprets the year field?
I notice that it doesn't appear even if I search for the two other years.

I've checked also by searching just the year: https://amiga.abime.net/games/list/?...ge=1&year=1989
https://amiga.abime.net/games/view/a...er#information

It could be that more games are affected.

That's because Action Fighter's year is not "1989" but "1989, 1991, 1992".
If you search for exactly that, you'll get it listed:
https://amiga.abime.net/games/list/?...201991,%201992
Single string instead of individual numbers....

That's exactly what I thought, but I didn't know how to search for it.
Is it possible that the same bug affects not only the year, but other fields?

[edit:]I said "bug in the search engine," but otherwise an error of the output of the aggregation system used to consolidate the database, whichever.

Downloading all available manuals of a game as one .zip again

May I kindly ask if it would be possible in the future to download all available manuals of a specific game as one .zip again?

I see there are two games called Boo, one is "Boo" and second one is "Boo!".
There is an issue, when I try to view Boo! (unreleased platform game) it redirects me to Boo (released pizzle game).

Also Alien Breed 3d got too many entries, there is rolling demo, first playable demo, second playable demo and finished game (for AGA and cd32). Why not merge it into one record if You can have inside information about different versions?

What's also weird is the fact that games that have a "?" year budget release appear BEFORE the initial release. For example, check out the entry on Infogrames' Wanted. There are two budget releases from an unknown year but those appear BEFORE the initial Infogrames release. I think the initial release should always come first and budget releases later because nobody really cares about them. People are mostly interested in learning about the first release of a game so this should be at the top in the "Releases" section.

If you mistakenly put \ at the end of a word/phrase in the serch box (eg drakkhen\), it will throw up a bazillion "Warning: preg_match(): No ending delimiter '~' found in /var/www/amiga/application/classes/abime/hol/game_class_model.php on line 442" errors.
