LOL. No worries dude, I'm just joking with you. It's actually useful to use them both as they complement each other nicely.

Oh, I should mention that you shouldn't forget that phx makes the excellent and versatile VASM assembler too that's worth cheking out...

In my highly unbiased () opinion, Asm-One beats Devpac when it comes to demo coding! a/j is all you need (or ad ;D). Try that with Devpac. =D
Seriously, AsmOne was made by a demo coder and it clearly shows, all important features in one convenient package. IMHO it is wasted time to learn how to to use Devpac if all you want to do is demo coding. Also, Asm1 DOES have a command line interface, you can completely control it from shell/CLI too! =) Any other reasons why you'd want to use Devpac? :P

Can't argue with that.

Learn how to use it!? Press right mouse button, select nicely labelled item from the menu to do what you want! There you go, you've learned how to use it! \o/

I'm with Sting on this one for sure. I loath mousework, and I type up to 105 wpm easily. But the real selling point is the fact that AsmOne was coded by a demo coder...and yes...all I'm really interested in at the moment (and probably for the next few years) is coding demos. Maybe one day a game, but even then only after I've created a game on the c64, Atari 2600, 800, etc.

The thing is, I already know how to use Devpac, and I've been using it's keyboard shortcuts (ctrl-A to assemble, and ctrl-X to run, etc). What you guys have been saying makes me want to switch over, especially it's speed.

Never used Devpac in my life, so I cannot compare the two really.
All I can say is give it a try. Never mind those short-cuts. You'll adjust soon enough (I can, with XCode v.s. AsmOne, so so can you ).

You guys all use what you like and if that's AsmOne then so be it - whatever you use just keep on coding demos!

I'm gonna be like Caine in Kung Fu - a deadly warrior wandering the path of Devpac alone! \o/

Of course, but you are Britsh. You guys just do stuff differently, like driving on the wrong side of the road... (/me takes cover... )
