Problem with WHDLoad installs that use single files - Page 2

Alright, this thread is derailing, so I'm locking it. It was right of R-TEAM to open a bug report thread here so I can know about and fix the bug in FS-UAE Launcher.

But as mentioned, there were too many opinions not supported by facts here, and the discussion derailed quite quickly.

For the future, I would hope that we can discuss issues objectively. And also, please try to avoid absolutes. I understand that the people here who suggested only extracting archives within AmigaOS meant it in a helpful way (to avoid problems), but it's not the only way. There is no reason that FS-UAE Launcher should not be able to extract packed WHDLoad games in a compatible way. Yes, there may be bugs, and yes, they can be fixed. This is the first known issue since extracing file notes became supported (fixed Embryo) and I will fix it.
