hehe.. if you want to get anal about it, fast ram can actually be allocated as chip ram by changing the memory list flags.. it will just not work as chip ram :-)

and as stated by others, agnus (dma) needs to be able to address the ram for it to be chip ram, which is not possible outside the range of 0x0-0x200000 with the current chipsets..

on another note, once upon a time i created a piece of software called embedderII, which is able to "convert" chip ram to fast ram for software that *required* fast ram (e.g. hd-version of pinball dreams/fantasies)
