Oh, WHDload version of Amermoon would be very interesting thing :-)
Especially with all possible bugfixes and patches, really ;-) Shame Albion for Amiga was never released. Wouldn't it be possible to play it on Amiga with pc emulation software..?! ;-) |

Well, that's what I thought, too.
Anyway, now I'm playing Ambermoon .. (see the thread "stuck in Ambermoon.." in prb.Games ![]() |

Well, for many Amiga gamers, I think it would be easier to get into Ambermoon by simply finding it from KG:s WHD packs! :-D
ANd even more quicker installation that way :-) |

I will provide a preinstalled ZIP on The Thalion Webshrine if you think it would help? I mean if you are smart enough to find and install WHDload you are smart enough to install Ambermoon to hard drive!

For more "exotic" Amiga systems, pre-installed whd version would propably be best option, because of it's many different configuration possibilities..

i dont even particularly know the game , but could see it being useful for applying and maintaining all known fixes, allowing data-caching of files for reduced access time, *guarentted* stability across variously colourful configurations of amigas, "proper" quitkey
![]() i remember trying to install this game to run in ram for PSPUAE users before, and it kept breaking. doing such with whdload is -much- easier! |

ok alexh, we get the point -you- see no need for it, yet other people do.
there were a load listed above. there's nothing to stop a whdload slave author applying those through the slave itself on their own. it's hardly as if any of the patches are 'official' - espeically given that most are largely only spelling mistakes. Quote:

i really find it difficult to understand such an objection to the want for a whdload install, but hey, i'm not even interested in the game, i just think it would be useful to everyone else. Last edited by Hungry Horace; 23 March 2008 at 16:13. |

Just because it is a waste of time compared to other non-hard drive installable games. |

and i like the idea of maintaining bug-fixes / patches through whdload.... since even i could add those to a slave source ![]() |

Did they even start the Amberworld project ? I don't think so. If you want a "successor" of Ambermoon, then the only one I know of is Albion (but it's PC program).
