I was on Amiga.org from the late nineties onwards, I check in for nostalgia once in a while. it started going downhill with the red vs blue arguments (which still flare up, believe it or not!), which caused a lot of people to leave. the site being sold, and eab offering a more optimistic attitude were the final nails in the coffin. its like a ghost town over there now. sad really.

Looking at the list of recent posts here at EAB, not one of them isn't about Amigas. That is the way it should be. |

![]() I remember the original site owner Wayne Hunt fondly describing Amiga.org as the "Wild West" and things seemed to go from bad to worse when Bill Panagouleas and his friend took over the site. I'm feeling positive now for the first in years that Amiga.org will regain it's sense of direction, and I have hope now that those small minority of destructive users that helped bring the site to it's knees will finally be sorted out. I have been banned on a lot of places, mostly for posting OT and the only thing I don't approve of is banning without telling the reason for it - how could one better oneself without knowing what isn't allowed? |

Amiga.org is a great domain name but the site doesn't live up to it these days. Most of the people whose posts I enjoyed reading left and I finally joined them. |

In my opinion all forums should give users the option to delete posts like we do here.

Hi There every one. I'm Sal (Kjmann). I'm one of the new moderators at Amiga.org. I know this is an old thread, but if you have issues, feel free to PM me there and I will see what I can do to help you all. =)
Option to delete a Post? I will check with matthew and see about adding that option. =) -Sal (Kjmann) |

Since I started to post here I tried to register in amiga.org and didn't have a response. I think it would be cool to spread the sound libraries I've found. Then tried again and the same. I won't ask for a third time, don't need it.
Love EAB. |

In principle it may seem fair to allow members to delete their posts as they deem necessary, but the end result can be the complete trashing of a thread due to missing content. Secondly, posts are often quoted in replies by other members which the original poster has no rights to edit. So, IMHO any practical post deletion needs to be done with the approval of the moderating staff. ![]() |

It's about mass deleting your posts and thus rendering threads useless. This isn't allowed.
