Oh, I'm uloading a scan of a Lemmings boxscan because it's NOT like the ones already in the HOL. How many boxes of this game are there? :P

I think mine is an euro 1st release... check it out.

I'll keep on scanning.. it takes time at 300DPI :P
One of the main purposes for needing 300dpi scans is for future updates. In a few years, we may be using desktop resolutions 4 times the size of what we now have. With the master CD's (which I have of my scans and any others I can get...I think Cody and Walker have their full scans backed up, not sure), we can upgrade in the future without having to hunt everything down again. Also, I have found that a scaled version from a large source is cleaner than one scanned at a lower resolution because, for example, the pixel interpolation in Photoshop uses more intelligent methods than some generic scanning software might (especially if the higher pixel count was never there to begin with).

That's what I'm doing, scanning at 300 and then scaling down.

Anyway, the 300DPIers are here and will be saved, but for now I only feel like uploading HOL-size boxscans.

i'll fill up RCk's server otherwise

My next set uploaded. Some of the manuals aren't really different from the box (only very minor differences), I scanned them anyway to let you guys decide yourself if you want to use them

@Antiriad
Do you have front scans for Grand Monster Slam and Side Arms? Didn't see them on the FTP.

Also, that Elite Plus is actually Elite, right?

Antiriad sent this to me previously and separately. I've added it to the FTP.

I couldn't find these on the FTP, Akira. Are you sure you uploaded them? The other scans on your list are added to HOL.

Thanks for all the contributions, dude. Elite Plus isn't on the Amiga but it is. Elite Plus on all other systems is based on Amiga Elite, since the other platforms' versions were buggered. The Amiga version didn't have the previously buggered version, so it's just Elite. Hence the confusion.

Was just looking at the scans for Elite and the black background is kinda wacked up. What compression level are you saving the jpegs at? Compression levels should be set to high quality levels or heavy artifacting will appear in the final image.

I'm sorry to say that I'm preoccupied trying to sort my internal disk drive right now but I promise I'll finish the scans by Friday. Meanwhile I've downloaded FTP Explorer cos its free for students for unlimited time, but I can't seem to work out how to use it (in the ten minutes ive tried ). So can someone recommend a free and easy to use FTP program?

Ahh sowwy for scanning ALL disks of every game... I didn't know you wanted just the one thing... but what about compilations like Fantastic worlds, where here are different game disks?

I'll be uploading the missing diskscans today.

Ok, I just uploaded what I was missing:

Fantastic Worlds (box front and back)
Wing Commander (box front/back and disk)
Indy 4 (diskscan)

Should I do a diskscan of SotB2 and R-Type 2? What about the games in the Fantastic Worlds Compilation, should I scan a disk of each?

For some compilations we have scanned all disks (Amiga Gold Hits 1, for example). If all disks look the same we settle with the first one.

If a disk scan is missing in HOL, please scan it! When Cody scanned his 500+ boxes, the lazy git didn't scan the disks, hence the gaps in HOL....

Im sorry Akira, but 80% is perfectly acceptable for the internet.
100% makes them almost twice the size. Not all of us have broadband you know.

Goldrunner
Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis (Kixx Budget)
James Pond (GBH Budget)
Nigel Mansell Grand Prix
Maniac Mansion
Operation Thunderbolt
