Okay guys, you heard it : Don't make Graham cry If someone beats this score he has to be really good and lucky, so I think your score is really great (and that on the first day *grrr* )

It's all about time. The one who plays this the most often will have the most chances to get extremely lucky.

I wouldn't be too surprised if rexsu, xpect, ElB or TF pop up with 20M, 40M or 80M...

Now I see why you mentioned the double score feature john. Well since I won't find the time to play this game very often guess I won't be one of the lucky ones On my first test run I tried the gamble feature and with 8 coins I got whooping 20000 points from them... At least we see some wicked scores this time

Great score Graham!

I've not made a run yet, because I got a terrible cold this Saturday and my eyes start crying with anything with more than 4 colours and moving faster than 10 fps. Back to Workbench games i think

He could also set his screen to black/white and set frameskip in WinUAE to "5" and play monochrome Superfrog with 10fps.

Get well soon!

Ouch Guess if he doesn't feel too good right now, this won't help... *need to play Superfrog with a frameskip of 5 tonight *

Thank you.
It was a difficult competition because the high-level was spectacular; the scores of Xpect, Mailman, ELB and Turrican3 were very high.
The victory is therefore beautiful and i'm really very happy
Thank you to Graham for the organization (as well as Biscuit and Mihcael for the lemoners) and all those who encouraged me; especially the cheering team rexsu (TCD and Blade002)

To answer on my last score Turrican, i had the same number of lives (i was distracted by a phone call...), i was looking primarily others hidden bonuses and destroy everyone in the shoot'em up; i was much more aggressive in these 2 levels.
If i had played Saturday i could beat your score of 2008, i am sure.
But with the latest that you have posted, i don't think or i haven't found all in this game.
They are truly amazing, 74 lives... it's really impressive, bravo!

That's normal. Those spikes are nasty.
Once you start playing cautiously your score will soon be a couple of millions...

That's another problem of this game (although I really enjoy it) besides the "double score bonus":
spikes are everywhere and kill you instantly while you can take 4 hits from enemies without dying and there's plenty of "lucozade" to replenish your energy.

It's all about avoiding the spikes (and lava and icewater later on) which constantly interrupts the flow of the game.

Also the castle imho should be world 4 because it's harder than the circus- and pyramid-worlds (yesterday I went game over twice in the castle-world because I didn't concentrate enough (and was unnecessarily greedy)).

Yup, the 'instant death' spikes are the only real problem in this game. At some spots you need to know where they are or you aren't able to react fast enough. Still need to find out about all these spots in the castle world

I agree regarding the spikes, there are far too many leaps of faith, it's ridiculous. Also I don't like that it's hard to tell which enemies can be killed and which can't, for a lot of them it's not obvious without actually trying it.

And on a different note, 13 people entered by day three is rather good going...

Says the one with over 10M points... (sorry you were asking for it )
You're right Graham This explains why rexsu only got 78K and will surely increase his score a lot during the round
