My board appears to be a rev. 1D.1. There are 5 poles directly above the four poles to which one connects the LEDs and there are also 5 solder points to the right of those connectors. Is that what you mean? What would I connect there exactly? The 500's keyboard controller board outputs to a connector with 8 sockets and I see there 7 wires going to it. What would really help is a picture of a 1200's motherboard with annotations indicating what everything is.
I know about soldering wires directly to the MPU but wouldn't that mean using the 500's keyboard controller card? Seems odd to use it and then feed it back to the board rather than going directly to the board and letting the 1200's keyboard controller do its thing. Or is there an advantage to that method? |
