Challenger 1P Superboard II (try finding that!)
Vic 20 C 64 (eventually bodgied with old pet 1001 drives to become a BBS) SX - 64 (to replace the C64) Amiga 500 IBM PS2 50 (the 'joys' of a new job after the Army) Amiga 2000 (because work sucks) ---- Moved to the US and left all computers home in Australia. Various PC's built from scratch - mostly running linux. Mac PowerPC - for work - Avid Media Composer. Souped up PC - for work - because Avid decided to go PC Mac Pro - because work decided Final Cut was a better deal than Avid ![]() And back to a PC again, because I told work to shove it. I have a few PC's nothing knock-over because I don't really need it - a 2.3g dual core with a terrabyte of drive space for doing video work, a couple of older ones, one for linux and tooling around and another to run a minimum spec X Amiga (used to run AMithlon, but what's the point?) - and a rebuilt Amiga 2000. So I guess I'm Mac, PC, and Linux. |

![]() I had it around the time the TRS 80 started being sold (in fact I used a TRS 80 monitor with it). Was a cool little bit of kit for its time, you could program in machine code with its built in monitor, and 4 of its 255 (unchangeable) character set were devoted to making a lil USS enterprise ![]() |

Some interesting lists there!
![]() Kinda knew I should have exposed myself to more as I was growing up... dammit. At least we can all be proud of growing up with one of the best communities around at the time... the Amiga will always be a nostalgic part of my childhood. ![]() |

Oh God, let me see if I can get this in the right purchase order:
Computers and Consoles: ZX81 Vectrex Atari 2600 Amstrad CPC 464 ZX Spectrum 48K Amiga 500 Gameboy SNES PS1 333MHz PC (Running Win 95) Nintendo 64 533MHz PC (Ran Win 98, Win 2000, then Redhat Linux) PS2 1.6GHz PC (Dual boot Win 2000 and Debian) Nintendo Gamecube G4 Mac mini GP2X Wii 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo PC (Dual boot Win XP and Debian) ASUS Eee 701 (Running Win XP, but I'm trying to find a Linux distro that 100% works on it and isn't Ubuntu.) Amiga 1200 + KS3.1 + HD + Blizzard 1230 (Running OS 3.1) Nintendo DS PS3 1.6 GHz Atom based server. (Runs Debian and serves up files.) Commodore 64 Amiga 600 + KS3.1 + 4GB Compact Flash card I think that's it... EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that I still own all of these apart from the ZX81, the Vectrex, and the 333MHz PC. The Spectrum only partially works, but I live in hope of fixing it. EDIT2: Added GP2X Last edited by gleng; 15 October 2009 at 12:19. |

Hmmm, lets keep this simple:
BBC B - repo'd by father's work ZX81 - bit of a downgrade, that BBC B, again - because I was an ungrateful little bugger Acorn A3000 - since um, altered* RiscPC - had for years, now gone to a good home . . . Original PSX - bought by wife Various x86 Boxes - mostly uber gaming rigs -Starting to go 'retro'- Another RiscPC - Black 'n White model Last full-on x86 system - almost unused x86 A3000* Another RiscPC - Uber, Kinetic, Viewfinder, bla, bla... Amiga A1200 - tasteful red snakeskin 'n gold, I kid you not! Another A1200 - Uber '060 with lots of extras, still adding to it CD 32 - with a shed load of original games Zonbu Mini - for playing, still not sure what Acorn A3000 - The most upgraded A3000 ever..? 2x Oric Atmos - brand new cases, for x86 projects Acorn A3020 - since gone to a good home BBC Master - thanks TC! Mac Classic SE - gutted for another x86 project Cobalt Qube - 'sgot to be retro HP TC 1100 - main computer these days Yet another A3000 - as a test bed for hacks Yet another RiscPC - another test bed for hacks Cobalt Qube - now really seriously modified... Dell SX280 - surprisingly good little computer... ...roughly in order, some have since moved on. There's also a bunch of laptops 'n stuff that's not worth mentioning. |
