I'm completely lost, it should be quite simple.

At the moment I have the relevant files in the path C:\Program Files\WinUAE\Hard Disks\Programs\_Install_K34005\

At the WHDLoad homepage there is an explanation at http://whdload.de/docs/en/need.html but what I need is for Paul to do one of his excellent step by step guides on this area.

The only other thing I can think of is for someone to have a look at the state save just before the game crashes. If anyone's interested I can put it in the zone.

You're not trying to use workbench 1.3 are you? (Whdload can't be used with ks1.3/wb1.3)

Also WHDLoad should be run from hard disk not floppy (although it could work, you will run out of space)

And use Kickstart 3.x & Workbench 3.x for best results

You must not ask that openly, for they're still under copyright by Amiga Inc. (Unfortunately.) However, Cloanto has bought some distribution rights from Amiga Inc., and you can buy the Amiga Forever off them to get legal copies of ALL main workbench disks.

There's no other (legal) way.

I finally got WHDLoad version of Iron Lord to work, thanks to everyone who helped me out. Unfortunately the stability of this particular install leaves a lot to be desired. It keeps crashing whenever you try to load a save state. This makes completing the game impossible. The only way I was able to win the arm wrestling competition was by constantly saving and resting.

You can save state with WinUAE option or... try to save position in game (using WHDLoad ability to save game of course).
