![]() Yes, it's frustrating. They may have a lot to do, but taking several years for a simple database fix... |

You can easily use a hex editor to add more blank data to the end of each image until they're padded up to an exact size of 901120 bytes (or $DC000 bytes in hex). |

880 x 1024 (bytes) = 901120 bytes completely normal, nothing really to do with any padding or what the other person said about being extended, they are just regular 880k adf files |

I believe you can write those truncated WHDLoad images back on a real Amiga using Transdisk from the WinUAE package. I tried it using my A1200 and Transdisk just complained when there was no more data to write to the floppy disk but the images still worked when booted from the floppy drive.

Hello guys, a little update here. I have a Trolls ECS/OCS version here in original dump.
It appears that both disks are seen as not duplicated, only the protection track on disk 2 is duplicated. It's not the copylock from Rob Northern, it's the Protec $4454 serial longtrack. |

Good to hear there is a dump of the OCS version after all these years! The existing dumps are AGA, so naturally the tracks would not be duplicates. Will it be added to the SPS database? Side note: AFAIK there are no ECS or ECS/OCS versions of the game, only OCS and AGA.

Yes by ECS/OCS i mean it works on Amiga using those chipsets.
However, the whdload installer is completely rubbish. The disk 1 is not even accessed, and the protection track is not patched, so no cigar. |

Ah, I see. But what if it works on Amigas with AGA as well? Does that make it AGA/ECS/OCS? Sounds like it would be easy to confuse games that work on AGA with games that require AGA. On the other hand, I don't think any games require ECS, though there are a few that make use of the additional chip RAM capability of ECS for e.g. additional music if available. Anyway, back to topic.

the slave and imager have to be completely reworked.
The patcher is useless, the game should use for instance the DIC program, and the slave should patch both disk protection and manual protection. |

In its defense, it is after all a 17 year old install.

I have been meaning to dump the one I have for quite a few years.
I have now finally dumped it. I have uploaded it to my EAB FTP uploads folder. /~Uploads/niobyte/CT-RAW/Games/ Maybe this could be used as a comparison dump. I hope its unmodified. ADF dump is also in the zone. |
