I love this project! It is probably the best uae branc for non-windows platforms and the development pace is quite remakable! <3
Do you know about the UAE-PPC-JIT project? (http://euaejit.blogspot.se/) Would you consider merging this into fs-uae once done? It has support for ppc macs merged in already, even if it targets AmigaOS4 in the first place. BTW does fs-uae support jit on x86 architectures already? |

I thought some more about the keyboard mapping. Here's an image of a typical international Amiga keyboard (Swedish in this case):
While most keys can be trivially mapped to a 105-key international keyboard, the ones in the red rectangle pose a problem (one key too many). What I have done for now is to map the number row positionally to the host map, and the underlined green key (which there is no space for on a PC keyboard) is instead mapped to the Insert key. However, perhaps the blue key is "less useful" and it would be better to relocate this key to Insert instead, and let the green key take it's place in the default mapping.. -Any thoughts among the general population? Development versions of FS-UAE support JIT on x86 on Linux and Mac. However, it does not work in direct memory mode, and requires the somewhat slower indirect memory access mode. In direct memory mode, it does not work correctly, and on Windows, it currently crashes. The Mac versions I publish are 32-bit x86 code, so the JIT is available there by default. For Linux, you must use the 32-bit binaries. With recent Debian/Ubuntu versions, this is particularly easy because of multiarch support - 32-bit debs can be installed and the 32-bit dependencies are automatically installed. Btw, Tobias Netzel has contributed patches to make FS-UAE compile and work on OS 10.5/PPC, so while the binaries I distribute for Mac are for Intel and 10.6+, FS-UAE can be compiled for 10.5, both x86 and PPC. |

Great work with the new emulator!
BTW Frode - the slow menu screen occured when the chat tab was open. Interestingly, it was working normal once you disconnected! |

Amiga mouse must currently be emulated with a native mouse device. A nice feature would be to be able to emulate the mouse with gamepads - analogue controls for instance. An on-screen keyboard, controllable with a game pad / joystick would also be nice, and is planned for a future version. Speaking of which, everyone please download and test FS-UAE 2.0 Beta if you're a FS-UAE user: http://fengestad.no/fs-uae/download-beta - And report problems found, of course (2.0 will be released when translations are ready, if no major problems are found). |

Hi Frode, I tested fs-uae on Ubuntu amd64 version. The same symptoms like in Arch 64 ( crashing when rtg switched on).
Maybe it is an amd specific problem (Phenom II). Trick like: taskset -c 0 fs-uae, not helping ... |

Actually, I recently updated to Ubuntu 12.10, and FS-UAE now crashes here as well when running my A4000/040 with RTG config (this did not happen on 12.04). I'll investigate further...

* Make sure memory pointed to by p96mem_offset is contiguous with memory pointed to by natmem_offset, fixes crash on Linux with RTG enabled. * (Launcher) Custom setting "kickstart_setup" can be set to 0 if you don't have and/or don't want to install recognized kickstart ROMs. * (Launcher) Updated translations: pl [grimi], sr [Milanchez], de [nexusle].
