I just insert the CF card I use in my A500 to my notebook (USB card reader) and extract the files in WinUAE, then put it back to my Amiga and smile. BTW, I tried it yesterday and this tool is extremely handy, thanks a lot for your great work.

Can I suggest uploading this to the Retroplay folder? or somewhere nearby on the FTP?
Yesterday I tried to access this file but the damn server was stuck in one of its now very frequent "server is busy" modes, and I couldn't do what I wanted.

Will do. Stuck it in the old Commodore_Amiga\WHDLoad_Packs folder.

Hi Turran, great tool and shame to see you are no longer doing your own packs, as this was my WHDLoads packs of choice.

As I am more of a lurker than a poster here I will probably never meet the requirements to get an FTP account so suck with using the free one. Therefore its quicker to get the RetroPlay packs from his MEGA site, or the Google Drive.

Just a thought, well a suggestion really. Would it be possible to add the option in your app to manage the files from a local folder rather than download them? So if I have downloaded them from elsewhere, I could then point your tool to the location and use it to filter the ROMs as required, avoiding the need to learn ClrMamePro and the like.

Cheers

Well, yes, its possible, but not as easy.. If you want, you can download the attached file and extract to Download from the same place as EAB-WHDLoad_Pack_Downloader.exe (So its Download\DataBase)

Then it wont download anything earlier than today, providing you use the same settings as I do (run it now and it wont download anything, but any updates from today will be..).
My settings (checked):
Download AGA
Download CD32
Download CDTV
English Only

Not sure how useful that is, but its the best I can do for now.

If you want them separated, rename the dated dir first where it downloaded to first (Not the DataBase folder). It'll create a new one with only CDTV stuff in it =)

You mean, add your own, already downloaded files, to the database so they are not downloaded again?

I did not think I would need to as with an FTP account, you can download the whole package again in just a few minutes, but I guess not everyone have the luxury of a fast internet connection..

I'll see what I can do, considering more than one people have requested it =)

Edit: I put 0.2b on the FTP in Commodore_Amiga\WHDLoad_Packs.
It has a "I already have games" button. It'll only work if your previously downloaded games are still in .lzx or .lha format though.

Hm, I did a full pass on what was downloaded. Perhaps the tool does not download .lzx files at all. I'll have to check. Might have missed it.

Edit, nope. Spelling mistake in the post above. The program checks .lha and .lzx. The message is also wrong when you press the button, but I'll stealth update that

Edit2: Updated program on FTP and first post here. Just a spelling mistake though and does not affect functionality.

Idk if 3 files can be considered several but they're there for a reason.

Calephar_v1.0_Files_2661.lzx - lha fails to compress/extract the archive properly.
EmeraldMines_v1.0_CD.lzx - Just a fail safe in case lha acts up.
Zine11_v1.0_Brainstorm.lzx - lha fails to compress/extract the archive properly.
