Great, I was thinking of buying an X-Surf100 for my A4000, but being an A3640 user I held out on buying one because I feared having the same problems roomeo had.
I hope that this will get resolved soon |

Update: Since i live in Norway it was to much hassle with paperwork and customs, so my machine stays where it is. Jens asked me a little bit more on my config and i have sent an image of my harddrive for debugging purposes.

Maybe there are more ways we can help Jens. I have an A3000 with A3640 and am holding back on buying the X-Surf / RapidRoad combo because of the issues.
I wouldn't mind helping to debug if I know what exactly to do (I am not a (Amiga) developer) and maybe Jens can give us some discount as a thank you |

Was installing the MAS-Player today and was going to transfer some files using usb stick. Poseidon reacted with normal sound effect as I inserted the stick into Rapidroad, but couldnt read the stick.
Inserted it into my Wintel pc, and it said the stick was corrupted and I had to reformat. Left the computers for about 20 minutes and came back with the A1200 crashed. Restarted, but now it showed black screen, only with a floppy clicking sound. Rapidroad usb led showed no light. Shut Amiga off and disconnected Rapidroad. A1200 booted normally. Reinstalled rapidroad, still no light or boot. I assume the clockport is fine, but Rapidroad is fried....? |

Hi: I've just ordered a RapidRoad clockport version for my A1200 from AmigaKit. I'm wondering if I can try a Wifi usb adapter, if it can work.
I don't know if it could be faster than my Pcmcia wifi card. I use an ACA30/56. BTW I will use a clockport expander as I'm planning to use the Prisma Megamix in a near future. |

@retrofan
Certain USB-WiFi dongles work. Depends on the chipset, Poseidon supports a few. Which on the other hand means that not every dongle is supported. Cheers, McT |

Now Chris needs to find some time to write a few test routines. You may know that he's not my employee, but an external developer, so I don't have any influence on his schedule. I do however expect that he'll come across with an idea or two within the next weeks. Jens |
