Wonderboy: the Dragon's Trap (remake).
On the scale of hard to frustrating: frustrating. You get killed, you go all the way back to a hub town and get to do an entire level all over again. I'd rather have a lives system :/ |

Just completed Defender of The Crown for ... Apple IIGS. Much crappier graphics and music, but I saw there was no longplay on YouTube, so I will make one and upload it soon.

Played Civilization few days a go, for a several hours (Winue, virtual HD, A1200, and Whload), and I got pretty far, and I have hold the biggest continent in the game, saved it, and went to sleep (4-5AM ).
Then I loaded position day after, and it was a mess. 2 of my cities were no longer mine (just "NONE" as a name), I couldn't entered in some of my cities, and every single improvement I made on terrain was gone. I've tried different version of Whload Civs, and everytime I load position, it's corrupted. It loads, but it's a mess. Even early positions. Anyone had same issues? Sorry for going slightly off-topic. |

You'll probably get a better narrative started if you create a new post in the whdload subforum. http://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=63 . Noisy Long running threads are no really a good place to ask for help

Yeah, I guessed that, but tried to slip my question fast, in hope someone has a quick solution. Anyway, I am waiting my Aca 500+ to arrive, and if this bug repeats on real hardware, I'll open a new thread. OnTopic: Arcade Pool is something that I play very often. I just select tournament, and play a few maches, until Matrin Brown, or some other AI come and brake me apart. But it's fun. I think I've beat the tournament only few times. Same with Mortal Kombat 2. I take one credit, and go as far as I can. Like to play those quick games, as they don't take much time, even I get very far. Yeah... Pang too... but, Can't wait to find a time, and do a proper play of K240. Man, that was a game so ahead of it's time. UFO is also on my list, and mentioned Civilization. So much cool games.. so little time... |

Finished COMI and decided to install EFMI, except it's a 16bit installer and i'm on 64bit Windows! Sooo, mounted the CD's in a VM of WinXP and installed it there, copied over the folder to my 'real' machine, made a few reg entries so the patch would install, applied a NoCD patch so I don't need CD1 in the drive and it now runs natively without any problems
Then I deleted it forgot they made it a freakin' 3D game not a point 'n' click Same shit happened with Broken Sword 3 and Simon the Sorcerer 3D! They take perfectly good point 'n' click games and ruin them with stupid '3D gameplay' and keyboard/joystick/gamepad only controls, tossers!! So, it's now "What WERE you playing?" |

Just finished Defender of the Crown for ... Apple Macintosh. Mostly very crappy black and white graphics (dithered from the Amiga originals I guess), and horrible music (sounds), but there are also some original and unique graphics, including undressing of the lady in front of the pokerfaced staring lord. Longplay is in upload right now, will have it in a few hours and will post a link to the video if anyone is interested in the Mac conversion of this classic Cinemaware hit game.
