This last week:
Pumpkin Poe on a real ZX Spectrum +2. (The AY music is so catchy that it makes the game). Sensible World of Soccer (2017/2018 update) on PC. Assetto Corsa on PC. |

Last friday I bought this for peanuts on Steam:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/26...Racers_STREET/ And WHAT A FREAKING AWESOME GAME THIS IS. I couldn't recommend it more, I was really surprised, I never expected to be *this* fun to play. And right now it's so cheap, I see zero reason for everyone here not buy it right now. One of the most fun racing games I've ever played. I also bought Leona's Tricky Adventure which is basically Gem'X for modern crowd sans the hentai stuff, I liked it a lot ![]() |

Yes it's one of the best i have played, maybe even better than Thimbleweed Park. And i think it was made with Adventure Game Studio!! (?)

Thimbleweed Park is great. Finished it too. But I rank the other three above it. Primordia might not be everyone's cup of tea (I'm a sucker for the theme, though, so I loved it), but the other two (Gemini Rue and Resonance) are absolute masterpieces that every point-and-click adventure fan should try.

Yooka Laylee.
Ummmmm..... a little boring. Colorful, beautiful, huge worlds, good music, controls are not too bad (but that camera... what a jerk). But yeah, a tad tedious and only challenging at Rare moments (Rare moments. Hur hur hur). But that may very well be because I completed both N64 Banjo (and Conker) games numerous times, if this is completely new to you I'm sure it will appeal more. |

Civilization V. It's pretty good, but the computer opponents keep declaring war on me out of the blue every time I play.

But some AI personalities are just like that no matter what. Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Alexander, Shaka... if you start near them, you're in for an early war. Although Napoleon you can usually keep moderately friendly if you send trade routes to him. The dude likes money. |

I was looking at Civ VI as well, but with that price tag and the recent ratings on Steam... nope. |

![]() Personally I don't like the default world generation, IMO the game tries to stuff too many AIs into too small a space which basically makes it so one or more AI's will immediately covet the land you own, making them pissy at you too soon. I tend to remove an AI from the roster to give more breathing space early on. If you don't there is a very high chance that an AI gets run over in the first 100 turns anyway. You could also remove two to create even more breathing space, but having too few AI's on the map increases the risk of not having lucrative trade partners nearby and will basically open the gates for culture-snowballers such as Venice. |
