The main core is still very close to "uae4arm" for now, as I wanted to do this in small steps.

The first target was to move it to SDL2 and keep everything working, then start adding improvements. The first improvements being added are related to the display and controller options.

I'm also working on bringing the core up to date with the more recent WinUAE sources, but that takes much more time to ensure everything works. And we have to see how much of a performance hit that will bring (if any).

The good thing with SDL2 is that we've gained some speed, so we can afford to increase the emulation accuracy. Also, since the Pi is not restricted to the limitations of the Pandora platform, we can add support for more things (such as 32-bit display in hardware for example).

There's a lot of work to be done yet for sure, and many areas can be optimized especially for the Pi/SDL2. But we're getting there, one step at a time...

Without having to read through the whole thread in detail, though i did skim through and cant see, is there 2 player support yet? I know uae4all2 didn't support it, so was hoping this version will?

Lubomyr. There is a way to turn off the Android mouse cursor. There's a discussion here.

I hope to get this running without using puae!

SOoooo android doesn't work the same way as other OS'es and I would really like the option of using an external launcher with UAE files to launch a game. Can this be incorporated please???

Okay so I managed to get the APK to my shield...

The pointer is disabled, but it seems to show the same issue as the previous verion in that the emulated amiga mouse pointer doesn't sit exactly with the android pointer, and so when a button is pressed (LMB) the emulated cursor jumps to where the android pointer is and then it goes back after the button is released.

On the beta it exhibits the same behaviour, only the android cursor is not visible. It still seems to be active

Hi Lubomyr, is there any chance you can add the 'write enable' function on floppy drives please ? It looks like the function was already there but maybe TomB forgot to enable it. It's only one line you have to add and one line to delete in the PanelFloppy.cpp file. As seen here :-

https://github.com/midwan/amiberry/c...a12007c7975887

So if you use a .adf file it will write directly to it but if it's zipped then it will create a differences file in the savestates directory with '_save' added to the filename.

@lubomyr

Write enable now works correctly, thanks for the quick fix.

Possible bug, when I tap on anything that lets you type in the GUI, like the description bar, the on-screen keyboard keeps flashing on and off like crazy and repeatedly typing letters.

I have now managed to get it working properly within a wb environment.

Mouse controlled games are still a no no...

Can you please enable the Android mouse within the gui as it is currently disabled.

Thanks

Lubomyr. Would it be worth looking at amiberry and maybe creating an android fork?

I am also considering making a video explaining how to install and get it running.
