Hi - wonder if any chance to include the Diabolik English translation - known as Untouchable Criminal (part 1 anyway) I think all the English translations are over at Exotica

I am guessing it is the same for Dylan Dog / Spiderman too by the same publishers? Not so sure about Spiderman, but Dylan Dog appears to have been translated as per HOL

I did see this when adding these Simulmondo games in.

Thing is, it's only a small number of these series i.e. one or two games, that have actually been unofficially translated into English:
So I won't add unless all get translated.

I have to thank you so much Damien, not just because of another update, but because thanks to the latest update I have discovered a game, MegaTraveller, which I didn't know and found it fascinating!

Once again, thank you so much for the update, and so much sooner than I was expecting after the last update.

I have to say, I had always been one of those who didn't see the point in adding games such as Doom and Quake, when I could play source ports and not have the impact of the overhead of emulating the Amiga reducing the performance.

But I figured that the inclusion of these games, knowing DamienDs attitude towards having everything spot-on, I'd give them a go. And as a result, I've changed my mind.

I tried Doom first, and playing on my ThinkPad with the TrackPoint pointing device (which also has some, erm, less family-friendly names which I won't use here) was nothing short of a revelation. Kind of a perfect mix between using a joystick and a mouse, pressing up to move forward, while having the mouse-like sensitivity perfect for a FPS game. I now prefer to play Doom this way, rather than using a source port.

Next was Quake, a game I love and still play fairly frequently, despite not being particularly good at. And again, I now prefer playing it this way, rather than using a source port. In the case of Quake, I changed the settings for mouselook and movement to suit my preference, but asides from that it was perfection. The biggest thing for me was that I didn't have to miss out on the NIN soundtrack, which is one of the biggest elements of the game for me that is so often missing, or I have to try to setup myself. And the performance was plenty good enough, while looking the way I prefer it, the good old chunky software rendering instead of the smoothed OpenGL or Glide look. Once again, using the TrackPoint pointing device was perfect, and the performance, well, perfectly acceptable on this machine (AMD Ryzen 3500u, Vega 8 GPU, 16GB RAM, 1080P screen):

Fantastic work my good man!

I may not have the collection, but I am still awestruck and have nothing but respect for the time and effort that went into this project. It's projects like these that honestly keep these games alive, as I have encountered, just getting the configuration right for each game can sometimes be a hassle, and to me, it's not the games themselves that are included that has me continually returning to this thread and watching the collection grow, it's the work that goes into those configurations to make them as perfectly playable as possible. Outstanding work DamienD, glad to see you still have so much passion for this.

Thanks for the kind words Revenile, but honestly it's difficult to gauge how much work / good this collection is by just reading my thread. You really need to experience by using it

You know all you have to do is send me PM and ask

Thanks to this thread: Prospector in the Maze of Xor - Possible Map glitch?, Sir Galahad has cracked / fixed levels 5 and 14; this problem existed in the .IPF and all the later retail cracked .ADFs

So please do the following:
  • Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\Prospector in the Maze of Xor".
  • Download / extract this file into "C:\WinUAE".

Thank you DD for your collection and all it's small and big updates. How many more gems have you up in your sleeve? Or should I say pull out of hat?

Alright then, sent one asking. I originally didn't because when I really got into what the collection was you were having that large drama with the uploads to other places, and I didn't feel right asking as a newer member when trust was an issue. Glad to see you've opened things back up to people to ask for it.
