Child of Light (PC).
A rather beautiful, absorbing and evocative mix of genres that transports the player to an amazing world full of fantasy. Just an awesome game. |

Tales of the Borderlands - a Telltale interactive movie in the Borderlands universe. (just finished episode 4). Modern Telltale games are not for everyone, but if you're a huge Borderlands dork like I am, you must not miss this game.
The timeline is like this: 1: Borderlands 1 2: the story as told in the pre-sequel 3: Borderlands 2 4: Tales of the Borderlands, episodes 1-3 5: the pre-sequel's opening, before timeline entry 2 is told 6: tales of the borderlands episodes 4 and up The reason is quite simple and partly visible in this timeline: this little interactive cartoon basically puts a feeling to the otherwise cold, weird and emotionless world of Borderlands and its cartoonesque characters, acts as further background information about characters previously seen in the games (and probably killed), fills in gaps in the storylines of different games to give them better continuity and sets the stage for Borderlands 3. Its a very important part of a story - a story that is finally going to be wacky AND richly detailed, if Borderlands 3 can continue what Telltale has started here. I freaking love it - the story and the characters that is, because as per usual there is little actual game. Its hilarious, has a few feels and is a perfect level of violent - not too little, not too much. BUT - only play if you've completed the pre-sequel at least once, because otherwise you're pelted with all kinds of characters and references that seem to have no purpose at all. |

Might & Magic X: Legacy.
Its a decent reach-back to the first Might & Magic titles up to and included M&M 5, after which the series went button-mash Doom clone (but was still good!). A little buggy though, in my first session I already had disappearing life bars and a disappearing character portrait. Nothing game breaking however. [ Show youtube player ] Of course a comparison with Grimrock 2 cannot be avoided. I don't really care much for the combat to be honest, you can't even do the grid-dance. Still, there is a tactical element to it. Its certainly not easy, it has a good deal of classic resource management to it. |

I got Elite Dangerous about a week ago and already stacked up 42hrs lol
I'm totally hooked on this game, I'm playing on an Oculus Rift DK2, I could do with getting a HOTAS setup but I'm pretty slick with a 360 controller so no big deal. I started off smuggling stuff to make money, now I've got a pimped out Cobra Mk III for battles and a Type 6 Transporter with 48 cargo slots for hauling my warez around the universe ![]() This game is epic in VR, you get a real sense of the space inside the Starports! |

I completed grow home on the ps4. Way too short main quest, but the indie developer nailed one thing: fear of height. I had many occasions I simply held my breath not trying to lose grip while climbing to the next branch of the starplant....

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. A fun but short story-driven western shooter that has absolutely nothing to do with any "Call of Juarez"
![]() Expect no more than 4 hours of story mode play, but its replayable if you want to try out harder difficulties / find the last collectibles and it has some additional competitive play modes. |

![]() I've been playing The Chaos Engine Remastered for past few days. Playing third run, still 4 to go to get all achievements on steam. It is incredible how simple 'save at the end of level' make this game much more friendly and easier... |

MKX and The Last of Us of PS4. Both are blowing me away.
I would also include Bloodborne, but the first level keeps kicking my ass. It's my first Souls type game, so I guess that was to be expected. |

Shadow of the beast - Turbografx CD (Emulated)
Very interesting. A little different to the Amiga version. Added video cutscenes when you enter the tree house in the beginning. But the music doesn't compare to Amiga of course. It's kinda like a b grade version. ![]() |

[ Show youtube player ] Souls 101: when you roll, there is a brief moment of invulnerability. There is no better defense than rolling -towards- an enemy that is attacking you, and then getting behind it to do a backstab. |
