if not, i could upload it together with the missing graphics...

maybe you could have a look at the Lionheart gamemap level 1_1 in the HOL soon...

i´ve spent 2 days for ripping this level because its also possible to rip it with the gfxrip tool...you only have to know how...

i can´t show you the image here in this thread because the file has a size of 376 kb...in fact the level is 5500 * 1316....

maybe i will upload it to the zone...when i break the ripping of the other levels...

first of all some explanations:

you can get all my rips also as bmp files...i didn´t deleted anything...
if i have ripped enough of this stuff you could have a cd with all my ripped files...
storing the stuff online is too expensive...

now some words about lionheart:

no it isn´t possible to get any tiles of the levels. the stuff that i ripped was made in this way:

1. activate the cheatmode (sit down, press P, STRG+PGDown -> press STRG again and you can move Valdyn with the mouse)
2. collect all moveable items such as 1UPs and energy items and beat all enemies that are visible in this screen
3. make an uncompressed savestate
4. load it into GfxRip and search the position where the enemy sprites ends. after them the last vivble screen starts
5. increase the screenwidth twice and select the ST mode.
6. now you have to fiddle out how much bitmaps are used for the level (for Level 1_1 only 3 bitmaps)
7. after that you only have to search the palette with easy typing the L button one time
8. if the picture isn´t really clear just scroll in memor by using LEFT/RIGHT without (!) SHIFT
9. after a while the wonderful "screen dump" should appear and you are ready for saving the image

but this wasn´t all for the moment. if you already noticed there are 3 different screens with not the same content. you should only use screen 1 because this didn´t include all those things that you can´t remove
you understand what i mean...??

other problem is that you have to combine the level in this way with PSP or something similar...
believe me it is really hard work...
also every level has different color depths...e.g. Level 1_2 consist of 6 bitmaps and the palette couldn´t be found automatically...
i solved this problem by ripping one screen and changing the colors with a screenshot. then i saved the bitmap and used the "color palette from file" function in GfxRip...


btw: Level_1_2 should be in the zone...and i´m working on Level_1_3...

for the level 3 i think the palette has 8 bit, because in this way is possible to rip the sprite

you mean that level...???

no...it can´t be because non AGA games could use a maximum of 6 bitplanes. all other are AGA games...

e.g. Level 2 and 3 uses 4 bitplanes...

btw: sorry i´m only on 56k dialup....
