LOL. I've heard that a few times in interviews myself. It's when people start believing they truly are rock stars that their ego launches into orbit.
No vanity Google searching in all that time then? |

In principal, there is nothing wrong with wanting to make money out of an idea, but wanting to make money out of an idea doesn't mean the idea has any inherent merit. This appeared to be a project asking money for nothing. It appeared to be attempting to erect a paywall around things that are already there for free. When it comes to personal issues related to DJP, I don't have a dog in that fight. I'm new to the scene and honestly had never heard of him before this drama so I don't have a meaningful opinion either way. That said, if someone is attaching their name to a crowdfunding project then public scrutinisation of their business credentials and history is fair game I think. Obviously, that doesn't include personal attacks though. |

Yes. That would be the first thing any normal person does... It's no longer the 90's and information about our very loved platform is really out in the wild now.

just did a little update to my little site for no reason what so ever..
https://amigang.com/community/ I may add pages like Community : Projects and Community : Meeting that keeps tracks of Amiga related Kickstarters and Shows. But that might require more work, for now enjoy. |

Skipped through but didn’t hear anything about AGA, can you transcribe any quotes pertaining to this or provide a time stamp?

Yup, no problem. The AGA discussion starts at 19m:00s. They spend a good while raking over the coals after all the book/CD-plugging shenanigans winds down.

He is taking it too personally.
He is focusing on criticism of a few extreme haters, instead of vast majority good criticism on the project. Look like he is still failing to understand why this project can not work. He repeats the same question: Give me the site that have all about Amiga. Quote:
As TCD said, design is really nice. Send link to David, please. |

"Nobody has shown me a website as I have envisioned it that has all of the content I'm proposing." And 1/3 goes to sponsor hardware and software projects which will totally not require distributing through my alliance or pay a supplier fee, in addition to their subscription.
But if you have a job for me, please let me know. I would like a villa and if there's some combination of storytelling and reminiscencing which will make you give me money for that, please leave in the comments, section. |

Can't decide if it's just sad or a bit embarrassing that he thinks of himself as a spearhead of the Amiga 'movement'.

If his belief is that strong then he should build the One Website To Rule Them All and then as it's clearly the Best Website Ever people would naturally flock to it. He doesn't need a kickstarter, the idea sells itself. Like crystal meth.
