Yep, totally agree, him and Phaeron / Avery Lee who writes the Atari 8bit emulator Altirra are two of the most helpful and informed emulator authors I've ever dealt with.

Just trying to make emulator that runs most popular games does not need that kind of accuracy, but it also means it is far too easy to add workarounds that will cause conflicts and sooner or later less popular programs become ignored, and because they aren't that important (from emulator point of view), reports will be get ignored and everyone gets annoyed. (Which is sort of same thing as programs not working in UAE with 68020 CPU due to emulation not being accurate enough: ignored, there is nothing to be done. Not yet.) Hmm... So whats the difference? Config? WB setup? Some background program or patch that also uses FPU? Does 64-bit version have same problem? b16 had FPU JIT updates = FPU JIT issue is very possible but how to duplicate it.. |

Does it work if you use your "non-working" config, boot without startup-sequence, set big enough stack (like "stack 500000") and run awinquake? |

There's an issue with "Full Contact".
The game will load to the screen with the "gate" and text scrolling up. After all the text has gone the game doesn't load further. Played around with numerous options and Quickstarts but can't get it working... Tested using the latest beta, + v3.1.0 + v3.0.0 and even v1.0.0. It actually works fine in v1.0.0. I can see the disk seems to get stuck at sector 83; while v1.0.0 it loads other sectors. I'm using the .IPF by the way. Config attached as well as logs. Normal A500 best compatibility quickstart works fine for me. (Some copy protections require cycle-exact)

My original configs are based on the "1.3 ROM, ECS Agnus, 512 KB Chip RAM, 512 KB Slow RAM" Quickstart. Anyway did as you say and all is working so thanks again. Just out of interest I did compare the Quickstart with my original config and there are extra lines not present that I guess allow it to work (probably missed some more out): Code:
waiting_blits=automatic chipset_compatible=A500 rtc=MSM6242B cpu_model=68000 cpu_24bit_addressing=true |

Yes it does. I've already tried disabling everything in WBStartup and that made no difference, so I guess it is something in my startup-sequence. Wont be able to test further until Tuesday...

http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae64_3200b19.7z Beta 19: (RC2) - Sprite in far right border feature (b1) didn't work correctly in AGA modes that require hires/shres horizontal sprite resolution support. (Alien Breed 3D garbage sprite in right border) - AGA hires/shres horizontal scrolling feature was not fully in sync with sprites (Banshee) - In some situations bitplane DMA emulation internal state flag got stuck in active state (Aladdin blank screen). |

The Picasso IV rom version 7.5 is not recognized by the rom scanner. It only works as "picasso_iv_flash.rom"

Nothing has happened. There is no changes except tiny changes listed above. You sure your ROMs are not corrupted? (and you really should have included some more information and test previous version and so on..)
