If you mean the gap, this is normal. As the powerlines moves over the screen, solid blocks (like the top of those posts) take chunks out of it. See this screenshot from the original.

at least it rules out wrong memory accesses. Seems to be a continuous interrupt issue. Whdload isn't going to help about that.

New version tested and no issues. I managed to play it right through until it went back to the beginning after the flight sim part.

Playing the latest v6 pal (.adf and winuae), i have been killed from one of the enemies with the parachute, in the section when you need to jump higher with the wind help.
Now, after respawing with the new life all the sfx are gone, just a single 'buzz' noise sfx keep playing
the game still works and the music also btw
die again does not help

i got a savestate, it could be helpful?

Hi i have just tested the whd load version and i am absolutely speechless, you have not only made an AGA version out of it, no you have even improved it. Are you programming this all by yourself?

The only change is what I hope to be a fix for the audio problems that have been reported. Please let me know if you still experience problems.
Also... anyone try the CD32 controls??

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I've done all the programming, apart from using Roondars audio mixer to play the sound effects.

About the CD32 controls, they're good but ... the button choice is really off-putting and I died pretty much at the start... Not sure if "play" pauses the game too.

Red should be shoot, and blue should be jump. The rest is whatever you want, but the convention is what I said

The rest (speed, graphics, gameplay) is just as good as the ECS version but with more colors. Impressive!

Here are some things I came across during gameplay.

Something wrong with the jump mechanism (playing with a two button joystick so up for jump)
while holding jump and forward lets you jump all the time.

Holding fire while crouching doesn't work.

Best turrican 2 version so far, keep it up

You need to be able hold down shoot whilst tapping jump. Red and blue would make that uncomfortable wouldn’t it?

I have fixed the whdload OCS version that way:

blue: jump (if CUSTOM2 is set)
green: flash (if CUSTOM2 bit 0 is set, else it's blue)
yellow: super smart bomb (if CUSTOM2 bit 1 is set, else it's red+blue/red+space)
Your version has a separate button for rotating fire, which is good. Using shoulders could be a good idea for bombs, etc... then

On all games (starting by arcade ones), fire is the left button, jump is the right button. Always.

If you reverse it, it becomes very counter-intuitive.

Saying that because the controls ruined it for me, too bad as it's otherwise a stunning effort.

OK, I discussed the CD32 controls here.
Assuming a diamond shaped pad, as below, I used the same convention as Super Turrican. G to shoot, R to jump. So fire IS the left button, and jump is the bottom button.

I don't know how you would hold down R to shoot, whilst tapping B to jump with the setup you want, but honestly the only way I'll make everyone happy is to put in a controller configuration screen.

Thanks for the feedback, I've added Holding Fire + Crouch to the TODO list.
I don't experience the jump and forward issue though. If you hold UP + RIGHT, the character will jump right, then continue running right after he lands. He won't jump again until you release up.

if shoot is left and jump is right then it's ok regardless of the buttons.

I was able to finish all levels on real hardware (CD32+TF330, CD32 pad) without any issues. Very nice! This vas V6, not the more recent V7 I need to add.
The controls worked fine for me, but I guess if you could add an options screen that would be very professional and complete.

Thats strange.
Does anybody else having problems wether its whdload or adf on real hardware?

At first I thought it could be my joystick so I double checked with another one, same thing.
All other games are working fine, really weired.

I dont have problems when using winuae but real hardware is totally diffrend.

Are you just referring to the jumping issue you reported earlier? Or is this something else?
