I'm playing Tangled Tales, by Origin, with dosbox.
It's a very nice rpg with lots of relatively easy puzzles, with combat used mostly to force backtracks, as when you die you get resurrected with no penalty (except for money, which you collect again by fighting random encounters). It's funny! |

Last night I had few friends visiting me and celebrating my 40th birthday. The intention was to drink beer and play some boardgames. I had installed A500 to my TV and was running Sensible Soccer on it just for the curiosity.
As it happens all these people had such fond memories of Amiga and Sensible Soccer that eventually we skipped the boardgames and played it all night! |

3rd play through of Fable 3 (x1 on PC x2 on 360)
Really can't understand why the game got such bad reviews...I think it's well above average. Subjective I guess Last edited by DaveMB; 02 September 2013 at 21:35. Reason: grammar |

I've been playing Prison Architect - I got lured into buying the alpha version because it looked like a cool builder/management game.
And it is very cool, but the user interface is still clunky and you can't do enough in the game yet to really play for long periods of time or to really make an attempt at creating a massive 200+ prisoner capacity prison. The potential for the game is huge though, so it might be worth getting it at this early stage to see it grow. [ Show youtube player ] |

I only took a quick look here and there to the video.
Is that a sort of Prison variant of Theme Park and Theme Hospital? That might be funny, especially if you can define what "peace-keeping" means the wardens are allowed |

Right now you can define the severity of punishments (and yes, you can lock people up in the hole for days ), I'm positive that in the near future you can do a whole lot more than that. But the sim-part of the game is still in its infancy.

The Walking Dead (Telltale). Not much gameplay in it but man - its one hell of a sophisticated game anyway. Choices you make in the game REALLY effect the storyline; people die, people leave, people either like you or hate you - it all adds up. The characters are wonderfully defined and voiced, creating an interactive story that in my opinion is more interesting to follow than the TV show - mostly because you're right in the middle of it. I admit it - there were times I was actually feeling sorrow.
Its quite gruesome at times though, not for those with a squeamish stomach or strong morals |

@Lord Riton: D3 on the PC is losing the auction house too in favor of looting, March next year. That's when I will be buying it.
Been playing... Rise of the Traid 2013. Humorous, fast paced and a true FPS of the 20th century, which in this day and age is new again. But also repetitive, bad performance and it doesn't even have a flipping quick save, only checkpoints but not nearly enough of them. Frustration overrules fun in my case, I couldn't continue to play it in its current state. Lego Lord of the Rings - fun and certainly the best Lego game so far. A million collectables, huge parties, actual combat, dialogue and music from the movies and a clever way of telling the well-known story while keeping the game moving along smoothly and quickly. The game world is well-designed and stunning, a miniature version of Middle Earth that you can walk through from the Shire to Mordor. Game Dev Tycoon. This one is hard to rate as this is basically a game of memory and not a game of strategy; you have to reason and remember which combinations work well to rake in the cash and fans. Sometimes it is blatantly obvious (music + casual = win, ninja + simulation = fail), sometimes it is not so logical. The further you get the more difficult it gets as you have more variables such as target audience, and you start to get higher monthly costs as you move to a nice office, hire staff and engage into published work so failure becomes more of a risk. Very repetitive, perhaps it is more fun to see others play it like this guy: [ Show youtube player ] |

4 player bomberman on my snes for the past couple weekends. I've even got my best mates kids into it and they are now addicted too. Also some multitap fun with micro machines 2, nba jam and iss.
Super cars 2, turrican2 and north & south on winuaex. And although not retro in anyway GTAV which has so far proven to be a real work of art and also one of the funniest games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. |
