bLAZER: nice work, player work without installing anything. I only just discovered this
topic and your player and because this topic is very long so I do not read everything and
I have few sugestions. What about adding some "Open" button next to "Nest song" button
to add files. Also some "Shuffle" button will be nice. And some sample names info (like an
Alt+3 in WinAmp) will be great. And I hope final version or nearly bet will be play a next
song from list not only one selected again and again. Also I hope you handle with RJP
format support. And final version proable will display correct song time indtead of these
"(??:??)" chars. Thank you for reply in advice and sorry for my very bad english

* I'll add an open button somewhere..
* Randomize and shuffling is planned in the near future
* Detailed information (samples list, comments etc.) is in the works

Enable "accurate" in the settings to get the real length of mod files.... (I'm also working on a better solution for this)

Great news bLAZER I'm really looking forward to that feature (and of course to the others too)

This is the biggest update in a while! And since there are some major changes I probably broke something somewhere... so be sure to report any bugs!

New Version: 0.77

New features:
  • File information window - file information is provided for most playable formats
  • Lengths for SID files are supported using the database from The High Voltage SID Collection (databasfile included)
  • New VUMeter: Cube rotating to the beat - looks best with very high Multiplier and very low Sensitivity
  • Keyboard shortcuts (main window must be active):
    • left and right arrow = move back and forward 5 seconds
    • shift + left and right arrow = previous and next sound in playlist
    • alt + left and right arrow = previous and next subsong
    • up and down arrow = raise/lower volume
    • shift + up and down arrow = raise/lower pitch
  • Empty VUMeter
  • New font for sound title in main window

Bug fixes:
  • Plugin settings wasn't loaded when a file was opened by double clicking it in explorer
  • All MOD-files are played with libmod and thus the libmod settings now have impact on all mod files
  • All MOD-files are reported as what they are - Noisetracker 1.0/Noisetracker 2.0/Startrekker etc. - instead of just as "Protracker" (except if ripped with Prowizard)
  • MOD-files lo longer crash at the end
  • Length is calculated for all MOD-files
  • LCD-font had wrong size
  • Some issues resolved when loading unplayable files

Download BZR Player 0.77 here

Will be running it quite a lot with the xmassy tunes I have, so if I find anything (but i doubt it), I will let you know.

Wow! Great player man! Simple and functional. With the addition of a 'repeat' and a 'shuffle' button it will be great! I really think about using it for my everyday needs instead of winamp. One thing though: when you'll add the 'shuffle' function, add a TRUE 'shuffle' function, not like the one used in winamp. What I mean is that a song on a given playlist shouldn't played for wnd time before EVERY OTHER song of the playlist has been played. Add this, and I'll even remove winamp from my clients's computers!

Ah, it's amazing what a Greek can do when he's working outside Greece!

Great work again Blazey, but my front middle speaker and both rear are still silent :'(
Also, I may be missing something, but shouldn't it "remember" the last-used folder and start from that the next time you open the file-open requester, or even start the proggie?

I'll add the remember-last-opened-folder for both "add file" and "add dir". The shuffle feature is planned aswell and exactly how you describe it, winamps shuffle is crap as you said.

Some small updates

New Version: 0.77b

New features:
  • Remembers last dir opened when adding dirs or files
Bug fixes:
  • Infowindow failed loading some GUI images and font for the title in main window wasn't loaded correctly
  • "Add dir" would add the dir even if cancel was clicked

Download BZR Player 0.77b here

*sigh* I'll see if I can do something about that 5.1 issue sometime "in the near future"

Excellent job, I'm enjoying this player more and more! I hope it can surpass XMplay's Delix and SID plugins one day and become my default player of choice.

Keep up the great work, bLAZER.

What's the point of "save as"? Just give the playlist another name when using save... and then it's "SAVED AS" another...

Sorry, I missed that Just would be nice to have a load playlist option within BZR Player. I normally don't have an explorer or file manager open to change between different playlists.

Okay, call me a spoiled brat , but I have to delete the contents of the current playlist first and navigate to the location of my playlists (from where I store my songs). It's just a 'nice to have' feature to be able to replace the current set of songs with the ones of a playlist. I don't need this feature badly, but think it would be a nice addition Hope I don't annoy you with that too much.

Hmm... so you want another button to save one click? I mean clicking "clear" and then "add file(s)" accomplish the same thing? Or do you mean that you want the program to remember a special "playlist directory"? No worries, I want all kinds of suggestions
