They are the Picasso96 screen modes for Piccolo SD64. I first select 64 Khz horizontal scan rates for my Pc monitor when I install the program (perhaps did you select it wrong?) and later on AmiKit:Prefs/Picasso96Mode I can select between 24 or 32 bits and several sizes, but I use to select 800x600 more than 1024x768. Edit: And I use 32bits as 24 gives problems to AmiStart.

That's when installing RTG . For AGA there are preinstalled screen modes like SuperPlus or HighGFX.

I'm updating the RTG plugin right now and thanks to the latest WinUAE version is very easy to implement a Piccolo SD64. The thing is that the letters and backdrops need to be changed when you just add RTG to my AmiKit Real version, that's why my plugin is necessary. In a few days I will update the steps with some more comment and will change the link to download it updated.

Edit: Sorry, now I remember what you said:

But that is a question about Picasso and your Picasso IV card. As you see I can't include even the Picasso drivers on my Plugin as they are copyrighted. You should open a thread to search for answers about what RTG drivers do you need for your card. Maybe Toni or other can answer what drivers do you need.

Installed OS3.9 on my Blizzard MKIV 68030 @ 55.5MHz 64MB upgraded system (also have an Indivision AGA MK2cr), then all Boingballs, then AmiKit (after renaming boot/dh0 to AmiKit) on top of that... Reboot, boot screen with green image + sound/music... Screen switches to white while the HD (4GB CF-card) works for a while, then the power led blinks...

Guru Meditation 8003 0000

8003=LAYERSLIB

What did I install in OS3.9 before AmiKit? Indivision AGA MK2cr with HighGFX monitor (1024*768 16 colours) and CF-PCMCIA-drivers. Nothing else.

Will try with only BB1 and BB2 as I read somewhere else.

Yep. Remember only BB1 and BB2 are "supported". AmiKit Real as it is will work right over an OS3.9 BB2, but to use BB4 you must change the startup-sequence and you may make some mistake.

So yes, better start over a BB2 with your hardware. After a time trying it all you can try to upgrade the bb's. Somewhere in this thread I've got some s-s of mine that I use with BB4.

You don't need either Pcmcia drivers; it already has them . Edit: Well, you will need it to use your Pcmcia before installing AmiKit, of course.

Edit: This is the best Indivision config I've tried: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=920520&postcount=97

Thanks for the Indy config.

Unfortunately I can't get Real AmiKit 1.0 working.. This time I get Software Error 8004 0000. Clean OS39 + BB1+2 + rename boot to AmiKit + install AmiKit.. shows boot logo with the boot music, white screen, blinking led and Software Error.

The one thing I do have is a custom 1MB Kickstart with updates from 3.5/3.9.

Complete list of hardware:
A1200 rev.2B
Phase 5 Blizzard MK IV 68030/MMU w/68882 & 64MB SIMM with a 55.5MHz DIL-crystal.
Indivision AGA MK2cr DVI->Viewsonic V910b 1280*1024 screen.
Kickstart updated with a few updated components from 3.5 and 3.9 (incl. scsi.device)
Micromys v4 Optical wheel mouse adapter with Logitech MX518

No drivers installed, just plain OS 3.9 and BB1 + BB2 on quick-formatted DH0: (PDS/03 filesystem).

Try with the 3.1 kickstarts instead of your custom ones.

Did you try it also on WinUAE?

No, haven't fired up WinUAE and I haven't had the time to replace the kickstarts yet.

ps. forgot to mention I'm running a CF-card as HD (4GB Sandisk Extreme IV) but that shouldn't matter.

I'll list the contents of the Custom Kickstart:

Libraries:
Kickstart 45.57
utility 40.1
graphics 40.24
layer 40.1
keymap 40.4
intuition 40.85
mathieeesingbas 40.4
dos 40.3
gadtools 40.4
mathffp 40.1
icon 46.4
workbench 45.132
expansion 40.2
exec 45.20

Devices:
gameport 40.1
timer 39.4
keyboard 40.1
input 40.1
ramdrive 39.35
trackdisk 40.1
carddisk 40.1
scsi 43.47
console 44.10
compactflash 1.27

I took a look at the Real AK startup and it's a HUUUUGE set of scripts so I have no idea where to even begin to guess where it goes wrong.

I'll be making a new kickstart soon since the set I use is rather old.

You are changing also a huge set of devices/libraries, so I can't tell you what gives you the problem. Run it with original 3.1 kickstarts and then you can try starting changing libraries and stuff if you want/like.

I'll set up a Remus WinUAE-HDF and change/replace one thing at a time. But that will take a while.

I know it would take you a year but I wish Amiga developers/packagers etc. changed their installers to modern standards where you get a menu of what you want to install and and not install before the installation begins.

It's possible with Installer-scripting but not optimal (not to mention keeping track of all dependencies, alternative scripts for different setups etc).

Sorry I can not make an installer for everybody using your custom Kickstart and the libraries you preffer, it's thought to be installed with the original 3.1 kickstarts. Also to make what you say I should make some hundred questions to the user. It has much more options than any other OS. It already makes some questions with the updates and you have MorpheuZ to change a lot of options whenever.

Oh, I didn't ask you to adapt RealAK for my custom ROM, obviously you should keep a standard platform (kick 3.1, OS3.9 + BB1/2) as baseline.

As for custom installer I am fully aware that it would be a humongous job which I wrote earlier.

I was writing in more general terms. The Commodore installer is very basic and simple, lacking even some of the most important basic functions like uninstaller support (it's possible to make logs and use third party programs to simply delete the files but since there are co-dependencies it may very well break a dozen other programs).

I wish my development skills on the Amiga were such that I could get into such a big project to create a modern system based installer/uninstaller that is as useful as those found in windows, osx etc.

I've updated the unofficial Rtg plugin and the -very easy- instructions http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=176

Yes, in this Screenshot (rub your eyes and take a second ) you can intuit you can use now 24bits Themes and my Start Menu will open if you click over the AmiKit Logo on the tittle bar. The MacLikeDock will make those small icons to spin growing while you pass the pointer over them. Yes, we are still using OS3.9, you don't need to be dreaming.

It really seems to me I'm giving away a Chevrolet Camaro for free ... .

I'm itching to get my 4000T back to try it!

I'll probably need to tweak it to get it working properly though. :P

It's been a month since I released AmiKit Real 1.0 (no Beta) and I don't find anything else to add, so I would like to know any opinion trying it and also about adding anything you would like to have/change

Only suggestion is: Put it on GitHub so we can send pull requests/updates to it.

Thanks a lot for the idea; I hadn't heard about GitHub. It would had been great perhaps at the beginning, when a lot of ideas where in the air, but now as I say I find nothing to improve/add/change/delete, so the next changes as it is will come only by Live Updates of the Pc version.

I would prefer just any suggestion of any missing thing/program to add of which I could get the permission or just any comment about how it runs on your system or also WinUAE, or just if you like to run my AK Real and play some of the new (32) included radio stations with AmiNetRadio (as people were having difficulties finding any) or playing any of the lot of new mods (64) with Eagle Player; if you like any of the new huge amount of Themes (6) I've made (use MorpheuZ), any of the new wallpapers, if you like the new FullPalette prefs when using 16 colors -Thx to PeterK- or if you like the random -Thx to Thomas- female booting voices -Thx to DJNick (one is mine)- saying "Welcome to AmiKit Real" or if you want also a man saying that for example .

I was thinking also that perhaps I should make some guide or book of instructions recompiling what I've had been updating and explaining on the updates. That would be surely better with Youtube videos, but I'm not good making them.

Anyhow as you know this thread is made to help, so any question or problem with the how-to will be answered quickly. As I understand it, if you don't ask (people) means that it is working perfect on your miggys and any change is very easy to configurate, or... well, you are all on the beach as we are on august .

Edit: By now I would like to include a new game if you agree: Donkey Downfall by Gibs [ Show youtube player ] . I'm just waiting for a Quit button to be added. Thanks Gibs master !.

Just to tell about this question in another forum http://forum.amiga.sk/index.php?acti...c=1385#msg5954
It has made me try the possibilities of Copper-Demon to save some use of the CPU for slow amigas, and I like some menus that look like transparent (well, almost all looks transparent now):

Only problem by now is that it doesn't seem to like AmiNetRadio, but that program isn't planned for a low-end miggy, as it can't play more than mp3's and radio streams but can not use a mas player.

Hi Ryan: Sorry I don't know nothing about the PowerPC 603e. Try renaming the complete WBStartup as WBStartupDisabled and reboot to see if it's any program it launches and report.

Edit: Searching about #80000003 errors, I've only found this http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=27055
