Hi,
Not to hijack this thread but... I'm using NetSurfAGA on my almost standard 4000 but instead of getting buttons for uploading files on websites I just get a placeholder box that says "form_drop" on it. I am unable to click this to open an upload dialog box. Any ideas? Thanks, Craig |

Hi, javascript is not enabled yet.
NetSurf dev team is currently working on it. Look at "Latest news" section @ http://www.netsurf-browser.org/ |

Got netsurf to run with latest release, but the window it opens is all off looking, colors are scrambled and fuzzy. I am running on an RTG system with a voodoo 5 card and at 1440x1900 24 bit.
Rebooting didnt help, ideas? |

SDL library used here doesn't support 24 bit.
NovaCoder 's SDL support 24 bit but windows resizing and close gadget doesn't work. I could compile with it but without these functions. |

Here is WIP 24bit version.
I have also added autdetect_depth option. Add this to Options and set to 1. For now, this feature needs external porgram called getpixel in C:. It is in archive. I hope to build it into NetSurf. As I said before, close gadget and resizing isn't enabled. I would need to fix NovaCoder's SDL RTG lib. Right click on 'Stop' button or ESC to exit. Let me know how it works! https://www.dropbox.com/s/jvgnvg7cqk...-24bit.7z?dl=1 |

Here is Chris version of Netsurf, it starts to be usefull.
Requires OS3.5/9 and AGA, 040 and about 32mb ram to be usefull. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/cdyoung...etsurf_os3.lha Here is some useable switches user/choises file to test. friend_bitmap:1 < - Helps with AGA, values 0/1 window_simple_refresh:1 < - Helps with AGA, values 0/1 redraw_tile_size_x:100 < - speed up scrolling redraw_tile_size_y:100 < - speed up scrolling use_diskfont:1 < - To use local bitmap fonts speed up with AGA and loading font_sans:Topaz < -Your choise, need to be sys:fonts font_serif:Topaz font_mono:Topaz font_cursive:Topaz font_fantasy:Topaz Rendering eab.abime.net front page takes about 45 seconds with 060. More with 040 with 34mb ram, but there is still 7mb ram free after that. ![]() RTG/060 ![]() AGA/040 |

Beautiful, tested on AfA OS, some problems in typing text on the search engine and graphics issues on some website as of Amigapage.it, thanks for the work done.

I have the following fonts installed which add font types commonly used on the web with several sizes so scaling can be avoided or more accurate. http://www.amiga.org.ru/websurf/ I have AWeb using these fonts which looks nice. Normal fonts -> times.font Fixed width fonts -> courier.font Andale Mono -> Andale Mono.font Arial -> Arial.font Arial Black -> Arial Black.font Comic Sans MS -> Comic Sans MS.font Courier New -> Courier New.font Georgia -> Georgia.font Impact -> Impact.font Symbol -> Symbol.font Tahoma -> Tahoma.font Times New Roman -> Times New Roman.font Trebuchet -> Trebuchet MS.font Verdana -> Verdana.font Webdings -> Webdings.font Wingdings -> Wingdings.font I don't know how these would translate in Netsurf but the right combination should look better. font_sans:Topaz <- Topaz is a good choice for a sans font but lacks sizes font_serif:Topaz <- Perhaps times.font would be a better choice? font_mono:Topaz <- Perhaps courier.font would be a better choice? font_cursive:Topaz <- No idea font_fantasy:Topaz <- No idea I wonder if an attempt to open the web fonts (individually) will open them on the Amiga if they are available (they are available on a PC). In any case, I won't be asking Chris on amiga.org. I'm banned from amiga.org, without a warning, for "trolling" and I don't plan on posting there ever again (my first time ever being banned from a web forum). A post of mine not long before that "disappeared" (with half of a thread). I know where I'm not welcome. A-EON knows how to block and discourage Amiga development by being arrogant. I will no longer try to push for a cooperative PPC and 68k Amiga with a standard API which would make programs like Netsurf easier but rather a clean break and for them to go their separate ways. |

There is a new build to download.
http://www.unsatisfactorysoftware.co...php?pg=netsurf Last evening Chris solved nassty plotter/layout/loop bug and now most pages are displayed right. Still beta, still totally unoptimised and still usefull. ![]() Reguirements are still same OS3.5/9 and 32mb ram, AGA or RTG. Will be slow as hell with 030 but should work. For a speed is still meaningfull to use use_diskfont:1 < - To use local bitmap fonts speed up font_sans:Topaz < -Your choice, need to be sys:fonts font_serif:Topaz font_mono:Topaz font_cursive:Topaz font_fantasy:Topaz Or you can use these fonts as a matthey recomended http://www.amiga.org.ru/websurf/ Last edited by utri007; 14 January 2016 at 10:08. |
