How about some kind of copper trick for the parallax that some games use for some kind of mountain range, mixels creeping me out uses these tricks, I know it uses scorpion engine and i do appreciate how difficult this could be....ideas ideas!!!

Played through the whole lot, all levels & Bosses. All I can say this is an amazing update... Using the original sprite from original Amiga game is the best.

Is the DOS version better/same or did Muzza create the best version of all platforms? - is the DOS music the same or horrible beeps/soundblaster FM shit? => music seems 100% module and awesome - does DOS version have fake copper rainbows? => rainbows are there all right - does DOS version have overscan? => yes - does DOS version have ugly hammerhead character? => yes for the 4th point above Amiga version is better ! Also CD playback could be done, using cd32load on a CD32 AGA for the music too We need more AGA conversions using MS-DOS superior colored backgrounds when they exist (and when the recoloring worked, like here, because there are 256 color versions of games that were criticized like Chaos Engine...) This is fantastic and plays really well. It did freeze up on me however after I killed that tripod monster that turns left and right. It was supposed to load the next level but nothing happened although the music kept playing.

The speed is excellent. It shows that 256 colors and 50fps can be done on A1200.
However I have triggered a terrible bug in the level where the background playfield is red. I went down and right to a place where a bonus block was, and my A1200 did a terrible sound noise and froze. |

I suggest you use whdload versions. If there's issues it's not likely to freeze the machine (even if it's still possible) but will return to the OS with a whdload error, which may even be exploitable by the programmer.

I made a possible fix for the last build but clearly it did not work. The difficult part is that with race conditions sometimes you can test for hours and not get it to happen once, then another time it happens immediately. I'll work some more on it. |
