remember my exciting news postings here? well not much, but ...
now they start deleting (my) postings over there: http://www.natami.net/knowledge.php?b=2&note=3706&x=1

thats some funny progress

Edit: one is lost, the two remaining, i post here, just in case ...

You ask for what ??

read again, what i wrote and think again. i stoped asking for related media/snapshots/benchmarks of the natami (prototype, early stage models, etc). i DO NOT ASk for anything, anymore...
but those fanboy "thank you" sayings, i'm a bit sick of. What did the natami team gave us? even the compareable Atari-FPGA project has more screenshots, of _existing_ prototypes.
here we have _nothing_. If the team needs some more years, ok, np. but then stop the whole pseudo public relation (website/forum) and come back, IF you have something to show.
so I stay with my previous post. Thanks for nothing, so far, Natami team.

while reading again what Peter K. wrote. They have time to watch the progress of the "Porsche Museum". maybe just dreaming of obtaining one?. nothing left for _their_ community, but insulting them.
He can state what he want. this is childish and the Natami Team _itself_ is harming the whole project, by acting like this team-member. thats for a fact.
gunnar indeed did a good start, but he was the only one, who did some communication. but i dont understand, why he has not even 5 minutes to give a report, within 6 weeks now?
something is wrong with the project, for sure, no matter what they say.

Edit: thats just a funny thing. they have deleted my first post in this thread, team natami, you are just ridiculous!!

us the time to answer.

just in case you missed it, there is a hardware faq. but what beside this can anyone answers to others? rumors, false information, speculations?
i said it above ( thanks for deleting my posts ...) its your own fault, if the projects gets discredited.
but some are simply common sense resistent.

If you have to delete postings like this rather than reply to them you can see how lame they are

I don't think Thomas Hirsch, the engineer doing the real work, is truly associated with the NatAmi website.

I respect him. When it's ready, it's ready.

I think what it has come down to, is thus.

if you take a look in the hardware forum, with Richaplin's cyclone project, which is looking all promising to supporting writing of IPF, all by himself (with some help from his history with mastering disks as a profession), what he has accomplished in the last few weeks, with pictures, progress documentation etc, how open he has been about it, against all the cloak and dagger stuff from NATAMI, I am sorry to say, NATAMI seeming more and more Vaporware by the day.

your are right, whiteb. i was very excited, from the first time i heard about this. but watching the progress, over the last 6 month - not to forget the whole project starts in 2003 or earlier - its simply a waste of time.
as alexh stated, the only hope is T. Hirsch. lets hope he isnt such a retard

yep, its simply ridiculous. T. Hirsch mentioned "new pictures of the 030 prototype" - so this one is the only one they ever made? this would explain why the have nothing to show ...

Edit: they are about creating a new computer, reverse-engineered the old chips set, but are unable to handle a cellphone cam. thats like politicans tellings us, to have trust in them ...

Sounds like an engineer who doesn't give a fuck about anything other than his work. (i.e. a good one)

That said there must be "hangers on" (like gunnar) around him who want to take photos and videos of what they got. Smells fishy once again.

Bert: Hey Hernie, where are those flat green things with lines all over them?
Hernie: I put them in that container with the word "Bin" Bert.
Bert: Hey! That´s where i put those grey squares in the other day!
Hernie: I wonder why all things we put in the "Bin" container go missing?
Bert: Yeah! Hernie if only we knew what the word "Bin" means...

He could have written that he wants to finish the work first, but instead he says that it would take too much time. There are many ways to put 'I don't give a fuck about that' without using this 'excuse'. Anyway hope that this thing will get finished someday, but there's surely something fishy about the way they present it in public.

Most engineers are hopeless at describing their work. This is fortunate for me, being a Technical Author, because it is the main reason I am never short of work.

That sounds like a possible explanation I was mainly refering to to Gunnar and his huge knowledge about the project

@prowler
Maybe it's a good idea to join the guys and give some insights of what is going on then
