Readonlycat: cd32load has a small footprint but does not preload stuff only the current disk image. It can handle a 4 disk game like wotd. It just loads from hd or cd without os swaps thx to rn loader

Akira: you need a physical ffs formatted hard drive. Partiontionning won t cut it sorry. Any size could be ok. Just copy the game you want to run from your big hd with a script and use the other hd as temp disk that cd32load can read

Sure, as I said, I rather have this running on my CD32, there's no way I am sticking 2 physical disks in my A1200 just to play a few games, that computer is already way too kitted to do anything with it. But I appreciate that this runs on a normal computer at all, I bet a lot of people can turn little A600s into gaming consoles.

Happy to just play in my awesome CD32 on a big screen like any other games console

@AmigaJay Do you want Steve to do a cover? I figure you've got a Jewel case one planned yourself but he can do a DVD sized one.

Having a Issue with the Virtual Mouse on real hardware, as soon as its selected it goes into some sort of autofire, so when you hover over an icon it selects in a split second giving no chance not to.

The game is having a few graphical issues too, i'm not sure if its because of this bug?

Edit: just burned another disc without vm and still a few graphical bugs, i know it was never A1200 compatible originally, but this also shows winuae isn't displaying correctly in cd32 mode.

A600 with 1MB chip / 1MB fast and a hard drive would be possible for CD32Load, but would be a challenge because the CD/HD buffer must be in chipmem and 64k-aligned.
but possible!

uploaded v13 beta in the zone, after having merged earok changes.

some more games work:

- Rodland
- Unreal (V2.0 from JOTD/Harry works, Psygore version needs too much mem)
- Mortal Kombat: read overlap (works with NOBUFFERCHECK, but needs testing!)
- Gravity Force

I'll do some more testing. I've removed my previous upload so there's no confusion.

@AmigaJay I'm not sure how to handle it, I could investigate on my CD32 though if you Zone your WIP Hunter stuff. Are you just using a stock CD32 pad, with nothing in the other port?

Sweet, add Thunderhawk to the "working" list

I was thinking it may be CD32load causing the graphical glitches, the only way to know is to burn a whdload version and see.

Yeah testing with stock CD32 pad and tried with both mouse in and out other port, same results, doesn't affect it.

I'll PM you my dropbox link.

Ok ill try
CD32load Joypad=1 IDEHD VM=0 brat.slave
something like this.

I can not get lemmings 1 or 2 disk booting always CD32 debug screen

If possible please upload a working iso.

Im still not sure how to activate the Virtual mouse the example
from the docs
cd32load lemmings.slave vm=$16
but you cant use the symbol $ in a argument from shell?
You can use $ with vk=$16

I think the latest upload includes the latest vm docs but not the latest vm code (the command line arguments have been updated). I'll have a look

@JOTD I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong I'm adding an extra argument for the updated Virtual Mouse stuff (the line looks like this:

Code:
dc.b	"VK/K,VM/K,VMMODBUT/K,VMDELAY/K/N,VMMODDELAY/K/N,"
But if I read back the extra argument with an additional "move.l (A0)+,D0" I get an error about the "CD buffer must be in high chipmem range"

In any case I've put my previous stuff (not merged with your latest) back in the zone.

(edit: I think I've found the problem - more than 50 arguments! Need to increase the length of the arguments buffer)

I'd like a playtest report when you're finished

- Which CD32load version did you use?
- Which port did you use the gamepad in?
- Any problems at all on either WinUAE or real HW?
- Were there any problems on real HW that weren't a problem on WinUAE?
- What were the command line arguments you used?

Just amazing - bloody hard game and it bugged out once during intro but I think normally I use nocaches with this game need to test further but had a long play used CD32load that you put in the Zone, Think I just

CD32load IDEHD VM=$11 BRAT.SLAVE

didnt change Joypad port - normal port.

only played for a second on Winuae before transferring to A1200 and great fun not really played the game for ages because cant be bothered with Mouse but now excellent Big! GRIN - got play some more. Get the weight and put on the jack in the box.

Great to hear the virtual mouse stuff works at least some of the time does the game use the right mouse button, and if so did you have any difficulties with that?

I've merged my absolute latest stuff with JOTD's latest and posted to the zone.
