Problem I'm having is that with the FastATA or the Fastlane, system will not boot with a flashing yellow screen, which I think is an address conflict. Setting the SWAP jumper will allow the Fastlane to see drives but I get a block access error past the range of blocks on the HDD.

The A4091 works and I've copied quite a lot of data with it, but I'm getting random lockups after the library is initialized.

Probably in 2 weeks I will have FastATA (zorro3), and I will test with Sonnet.

Hi, everybody

I have a strange problem with my K1. E.g Quake starts and after some time it slows down (as in the attached movie).
Sometimes the application starts to slow down during the launch - not just the quake

My equipment is: A1200, Apollo1260, Mediator TX, Killer K1, Voodoo 3, SB128 ( i removed Spider and Realtek )

Any ideas maybe someone had a similar case?

Hi,

No clue. And 1200 is not supported officially as of yet.

Edit: Is it the GL version of Quake?

No, but everything behaves similarly or crash on start.

When I launch Quake in 640x480, this is a slideshow from the very beginning

PPC Mem does not show up on a 1200. $20000000-$30000000 is reserved for it by Elbox when PPCPCI=yes.

Regarding VoodoomemOS. The MPC107 needs to upload a small PPC program into PCI memory (which is in our case VGA memory) to detect and install the memory on the MPC107 cards.

The other cards all have their memory setup automatically or through PCI by the 68k. So we can put PPC code directly in the PPC memory. The K1 can be started without any other PCI card in the system from a boot with no startup-sequence.

That it starts ok (I am assuming 320x240?) and that 640x480 does not start ok... I would suggest some VGA memory problem? But you said other applications show it too? Which? all of them using the voodoo?

I also tried Doom the same problem.
Sometimes when I start the Quake subtitles in Shell are slowly displaying or running slowly from the very beginning, there is no rule. SysSpeed and cyberpi works fine, cybermand seems too slow. How can I check the card's memory or what else can I run for testing?
